Cada aluno deve:
1. Reconhecer a especificidade própria da disciplina Filosofia da Religião no universo das disciplinas curriculares; no fim, ser capaz de esboçar uma teoria pessoal acerca do fenómeno religioso.
2. Conhecer a problemática específica da definição do que é a religião, bem como a reflexão filosófica que ensaia pensar tal problemática.
3. Compreender a essência da experiência religiosa, na sua semântica própria, em sua irredutível realidade.
4. Conhecer as posições teóricas dos diferentes autores estudados. 5. Trabalhar no quadro de uma atitude epistemológica crítica.
Each student must:
1. Recognize the specificity of the Philosophy of Religion field among the different curricular areas; at the end of the semester, each student must be able to sketch a personal theory of religion.
2. Know the specific problematic related to the definition of what religion is as well as the philosophical reflection that endeavours to approach such a problematic.
3. Understand the essence of religious experience, in its own semantics, in its own irreducible reality.
4. Grasp the theoretical positions of the different authors under appreciation. 5. Work within the frame of a critical epistemological attitude.

1. Definição da área epistemológica própria da disciplina.
2. O fenómeno religioso, a experiência humana comum e a experiência religiosa: especificidade e pontos de amarração antropológicos.
3. A essência do religioso. Categorias fundamentais.
4. Relações do religioso com ciência, história, economia, política e filosofia.
5. Hermenêuticas racionalistas do fenómeno religioso e seu alcance: René Descartes e Baruch Espinosa.
6. As razões do coração. Memorial crístico, entre a miséria e a grandeza do ser humano: Blaise Pascal.
7. Uma proposta de tolerância em resposta às guerras de religião: John Locke. 8. Imanentização e irracionalização da fé: David Hume.
9. ‘A religião nos limites da simples razão’, ou a anexação moral do religioso: Immanuel
KANT.
10. Georg F. W. Hegel: religião alienante e religião reconciliadora.
11. A dimensão psicológica como leit-motiv da redução da Teologia à Antropologia: Ludwig Feuerbach.
12. A genealogia da moral e da religião: o ressentimento. Para além da alternativa sentimento/razão ou a redução da seriedade à inocência do novo: Friedrich Nietzsche.

2. The religious phenomenon, the common human experience and the religious experience: specificity and its anthropological anchorage.
3. The essence of the religious. Fundamental categories.
4. Relations of the religious with Science, History, Economy, Politics and Philosophy. 5. Rationalist hermeneutics of the religious phenomenon and their reach: René Descartes
and Baruch Spinoza.
6. The reasons of the heart: Christ Memorial between Man’s misery and greatness: Blaise Pascal.
7. A proposal of tolerance in reply to the wars of religion: John Locke. 8. Faith as merely immanent and irrational: David Hume.
9. ‘Religion within the boundaries of mere reason’ or the moral annexation of religion: Immanuel Kant.
10. Georg F. W. Hegel: alienation religion and reconcilement religion.
11. The psychological dimension as a leitmotiv for the reduction of theology to Psychology: Ludwig Feuerbach.
12. The genealogy of moral and religion – resentment: beyond the choice feeling/reason or the reduction of seriousness to the innocence of the new: Friedrich Nietzsche
7. Metodologia de ensino (avaliação incluída)
A disciplina é ministrada em regime de b-learning. Às sessões presenciais, acresce um conjunto integrado de lições teóricas on-line, assim como um conjunto de momentos de avaliação, realizados quer on-line quer presencialmente.
A avaliação segue o preceituado no regulamento da Faculdade, sendo contínua e faseada, contemplando uma prova escrita que conta com 60% do total da nota final, sendo os restantes 40% reservados aos dois trabalhos feitos através da plataforma, com uma ponderação de 20% cada. A prova complementar, composta por um elemento escrito e um elemento de oralidade, a ocorrer, terá o peso de 60% na avaliação final da unidade curricular. Qualquer evidência de plágio será punida com a atribuição de zero ao elemento de avaliação que tenha utilizado indevidamente textos de terceiros.
Teaching methodologies (including evaluation)
The subject is taught under a b-learning regime. There are thus classroom sessions and online lessons as well as a set of evaluation moments, performed both online and in the classroom.
online are each valued at 20% and the final on-campus test contributes 60% to the final mark. The supplementary test, whenever required, integrates a written and an oral component and accounts for 60% of the final mark.
Any evidence of plagiarism is a disciplinary offense and will result in a penalty. A mark of zero (0) will be awarded for the assignment.
