One has been witnessing the replacement of inefficient

fa-cilities by fluorescent or high efficiency LED solutions. This

efficiency can, as we know, be maximized by using

light-ing control systems (daylight sensors and motion detectors)

thus obtaining reductions in energy consumption that can

reach up to 50% *.

However, to have a good lighting solution is not enough for

it to have ENERGY EFFICIENCY but also FLEXIBILITY and

RE-LIABILITY. Efficiency together with flexibility and reliability

in lighting installations definitely contribute to increase the

PRODUCTIVITY of any company.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

The usage of efficient luminaires, mainly those using LED

technology, electronic control gear and lighting control

systems, is the best way to ensure energy efficacy.

Neste sentido tem-se assistido a uma substituição das

The solution presented may translate into greater energy savings, if we

use lighting control systems that autonomously adapt, at all times, the

lighting to the usage needs of the facility.

These systems have as functioning base the installation of constant light

sensors and / or motion detectors:

CONSTANT LIGHT SENSORS: Allow profit from natural lighting

through-put the day using only artificial lighting as an addition, in the necessary

and sufficient amount to maintain the level of preset lighting.

SENSORS MOTION: Allows that the lighting, when is not needed can

be automatically turned off or reduced or maintained at a minimum

security level. If a particular area does not have anyone occupying it for long

periods of time, it makes no sense that the lights are turned on, at least at

its maximum level.

As soluções apresentadas podem traduzir-se numa maior poupança

energética, se utilizarmos sistemas de controlo de iluminação que,

auto-nomamente, adaptem em cada momento a iluminação às necessidades

de utilização da instalação.

Estes sistemas têm por base do seu funcionamento a instalação de sensores

de luz constante e/ou detectores de movimento:

SENSORES DE LUz CONSTANTE: Permitem aproveitar a iluminação natural

ao longo de todo o dia utilizando-se apenas a iluminação artificial como

complemento, na quantidade necessária e suficiente para manter o nivel

de iluminação pré-definido.

SENSORES DE MOVIMENTO: Permitem que a iluminação, quando não é

necessária possa ser desligada automaticamente ou reduzida e mantida

num nível mínimo de segurança. Se um determinado espaço não tem

ninguém a ocupa-lo durante períodos de tempo prolongados, não faz

sentido que a iluminação permaneça ligada, pelo menos no seu nível

máximo.
