Topic 5: ADOPTION OF TIE PROGRAM OF SESSIONS

Pursuant to Article 17 of the Rules of Procedure of the Directing Council, the attached program of sessions has been prepared by the

Director and is submitted to the Council for consideration.

In accordance with the precedent set by the Directing Council at previous meetings, the preparations for this meeting have been based on a program that envisages the discussion of all topics in plenary sessions

of the Council. In addition, facilities for meetings of working parties have been made available for use in the event the Council should decide

to refer the study of any specific matters to such groups. Pursuant to Article 25 of the Rules of Procedure, the General Conmmittee will

determine the order in which the topics will be discussed.

The draft program of sessions provides for 28 September to be devoted entirely to the Technical Discussions, which will be conducted

in accordance with the Rules for Technical Discussions.
