METHOD OF APPOINTING REGIONAL DIRECTORS OF THE WHO

THE 10th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined Resolution EB19.R61 adopted by the Executive Board of the World Health

Organization at its 19th Session, as well as background information relating to the proposal of the

Government of New Zealand to the effect that a change be made in the practice followed at present

in appointing Regional Directors of WHO,

RESOLVES

To declare that the practice followed at present for the appointment of Regional Directors of the

World Health Organization is satisfactory, and that it does not consider it advisable to change this

practice.
