Dear Lord Jesus and Mary, Mother of God, hold all these brave souls in the palm of your hand; comfort them and their families. Send angels of protection, love, and comfort to all the service men and women still at war, bring them home safely and comfort their families. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Right to Life-LIFESPAN Dismemberment Petition
You will soon be asked to sign a citizen’s petition to prohibit the Dismemberment Abortion Ban petition.
This petition would prohibit this gruesome procedure being used to take the lives of unborn babies. The Dismemberment Petition stands the best chance of being enacted and could not be vetoed by the gover- nor. We have petitions in the LIFESPAN office if you would like to encourage your relatives and friends to end this terrible action. If you have any questions, please call the LIFESPAN office at 248-816-1546.
The schedules for all Lectors, Commentators, Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Serv- ers will soon be published for October, No- vember and December 2019. If you know that you will not be available to serve on a specific weekend during this time frame, please call the par- ish office (248) 682-6431 by Friday, September 6th, and advise us not to schedule you.

Take Five for Faith
We all need guidance at some time
A sect of Christian leaders in the south of France in the 13th century stumbled into gnostic and dualist heresy.
The Cathars, as they were called, argued that human be- ings were inherently evil. Therefore, Jesus, the Son of God, couldn’t possibly have been fully human. Dominic de Guzman, a Spanish priest, preached convincingly against the error. Sadly, when his efforts failed, church leaders followed with brutal suppression. As for Domiinic, he fo- cused on building up the Order of Preachers, known as the Dominicans, dedicated to preaching and praying the Rosary. Renowned for his holiness and eloquence, he was elevated to sainthood a mere 13 years after his death in 1221. Guiding the misguided was full-time work for Saint Dominic. What’s your saintly work?
Regent Kathy Huey [email protected]

We cur- rently have approximately 35 members and are looking to expand our membership.
