RESOLUTION

CD27.R11

REPORT ON THE PAHO ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON MEDICAL

RESEARCH

THE 27th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the report of the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical Research for the period

June 1979 to May 1980 (Document CD27/30),

RESOLVES

1. To take note of the concern of the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical Research for areas of

research that provide the greatest contribution toward solving problems of PAHO and its Member

Countries, such as diarrheal diseases, health services research, the formation of ethical review

committees and research information, in support of PAHO and the activities of the Member

Governments.

2. To urge the Director to make even greater use of the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical

Research in defining priorities and promoting programs which will help the Organization to reach

its goal of health for all.

3. To commend the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical Research on its innovative work which
