REPORT OF THE PAHO ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON MEDICAL

RESEARCH

THE 29th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the report of the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical Research1 to the

Director; and

Having noted with interest the description of PAHO's research policy as presented by the Advisory

Committee,

RESOLVES

1 To commend the PAHO Advisory Committee on Medical Research for its report.

2. To take note of the concerns of the Committee in respect of the problems facing research and

researchers in Latin America.

3. To ask the Director to implement the recommendations of the Committee to the extent possible

within the resources of the Organization.
