Dear Parishioners,
Last weekend of the liturgical year! We are celebrating the feast of Jesus Christ, King of the Universe.
Have we really left Jesus be King of our lives? The liturgy of this weekend helps us to know Jesus as the Christ, the beloved Son of God and Lord of all things. By his Incarnation, Cross and Resurrection he inherited all of creation, and redeemed everything and everyone by his blood.
We have started preparing for Christmas, and we will meditate on the second coming of Christ, promised and waited for by the Church as the final work of Redemption by God. The Father has prepared a place, and has sent his Son, hoped for and announced by the prophets, in order to give us the conditions necessary to arrive at our eternal home. He is the Way by which we will get there.
During the Sundays of Advent may this preparation happen in our hearts, in our families, and in all that we do, in our very lives.
Let the Lord be King of all things, and may we know him as Master, the Way, the Truth, and the Life!

Ultimo final de semana do ano liturgico! Celebramos a Festa de Cristo Rei do Universo. Será que deixamos Jesus ser o Rei também de nossas vidas? A liturgia deste final de semana nos orienta para que reconheçamos Jesus como o Cristo, o Filho amado de Deus e Senhor de todas as coisas. Pela sua encarnação, cruz e
ressurreição Ele herdou toda a criação, e redimiu tudo e todos pelo seu sangue.
Começaremos a preparação para o Natal, e também meditaremos sobre a segunda vinda de Cristo, prometida e esperada por toda a Igreja como final da obra redentora de Deus. O Pai nos preparou um lugar, e nos enviou seu Filho, esperado e anunciado pelos profetas, para nos dar condições de chegarmos à essa morada eterna. Ele é o caminho pelo qual chegamos lá. Que nos domingos do Advento esta preparação aconteça em nosso coração, nas nossas famílias e em tudo o que vivemos.
Deixemos o Senhor ser Rei de todas as coisas e o reconheçamos como Mestre, Caminho, Verdade e Vida!
