SOUND LIGHT WALL UNIT 18500
CONTENTS
Sound Light Wall Unit with: • Large translucent screen
• Integral radio CD player MP3 player with USB interface • Master controls
• One microphone • One ‘A’ switch
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Wall-mount the Unit using fixings appropriate to the weight of the product and the construction of your wall. At the back of the unit, there are screws visible around the edge. There is a wooden baton where these screws are inside the unit. Fixings could be attached here. Please note: there is no wood structure inside the unit around the corners. It is your responsibility to make sure that the unit is securely attached to your wall. It is recommended that the power lead be safely secured to the wall so as to avoid users pulling on this.
Place the front of the Radio / CD/ MP3 player into the rectangular socket for this towards the top of the unit. Attach the front at the right side first, with point B on the main unit touching point A on the front. Then press the left side of the front onto the main unit till a ‘click’ is heard. Do not insert from the left side first.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Plug in.
There is no ON/OFF switch.
Sounds or audio signals are picked up by the internal microphone and converted electronically to activate the lights and so create different light effects on the main screen. The louder the sounds, the greater the response. The speaker grilles should not be blocked so as to avoid sound distortion/reduction.
The controls on the front at the top work as follows:
EXTERNAL MICROPHONES
Connect one or two to the jack sockets on the front marked: • MIC 1 Input
• MIC 2 Input • MIC 3 Input
The microphone(s) override(s) light response to external noise. However, the microphones can be used at the same time as the radio/CD player to allow users to sing along, like Karaoke. Use the corresponding controls under each jack socket to regulate the volume setting for the microphone.
EXTERNAL SWITCH
Connect a mono switch (included) to the jack socket marked: • Switch A Input
It is extremely unlikely that stereo switches would harm the Sound Light unit or the switch, but not all stereo switches may be compatible. For example, the following switches will work with the ROMPA® Sound Light Units:
15896 ROMPA® Squash Switch 15894 ROMPA® Tug Switch 15901 ROMPA® Rattle Switch 15893 ROMPA® Finger Switch 15899 ROMPA® Wobble Switch 15895 ROMPA® Tip Switch 15892 ROMPA® Press Switch
VOLUME
Adjust the stereo volume on the stereo itself and adjust the MIC or stereo input volume with the controls on the front panel.
SENSITIVITY
Use the control marked:
• Sound to Light Sensitivity
to adjust the sensitivity. The LED to the right of this control will indicate that this control is active.
SPEED
To adjust the speed at which the illumination of the panel progresses in the ‘automatic’ and the two ‘timed’ modes, use the buttons on the top right of the control panel marked:
• Slow down button AND
• Speed up button
The LED in between these buttons indicates when these buttons are active.
AMPLIFIER
An external amplifier (not included) may be connected to the jack socket marked: • Mixer Output
Use the control directly underneath this to regulate the amplifier.
MODE
Use the six position switch on the bottom right of the control panel marked: • Mode Selector Switch
to choose between the following modes. Turn this switch clockwise.

GEBRUIKSAANWIJZING
• MIC 2 Input • MIC 3 Input
15896 ROMPA Squashschakelaar 15894 ROMPA Trekschakelaar 15901 ROMPA Ratelschakelaar 15893 ROMPA Vinger-Drukschakelaar 15899 ROMPA Balschakelaar 15895 ROMPA Tipschakelaar 15892 ROMPA Drukschakelaar VOLUME
• Slow-Down button (langzamer) • Speed-Up button (sneller)
volgorde.
SNELHEID is regelbaar.
RADIO/CD
Kan worden gebruikt in Mode 2 en 3. 1. Zet unit aan.
