Here is the Winter 2017 list of non-athletic After
School Clubs being offered by the Edgartown School.
**Clubs will run from 2:45 – 4pm with a light snack provided (except where
noted).
**Students must be picked up at 4pm in the lobby.
**Forms due back by Friday, January 6th. An After School Activity
Permission Slip must be signed to participate in any club.
**Club sign up is first come, first served.
**Any student walking to The Boys and Girls Club MUST have a note from
Parents!

Lego Club
Join your fellow budding builders as we build and share Lego creations. The goal of the club is to work both as an individual and as a team to develop projects, be creative, be imaginative and have fun!
Taught by Rene Habekost/Lyuba Avramova
Classes will be on Thursdays: 1/19; 1/26; 2/2; 2/9; 2/16; 2/23 Maximum 12 students: Grades K-1
Build Your Own Model Airplane!
Join Mr. Pattison in our Edgartown School Industrial Arts Shop to build your own model airplane.
Taught by Greg Pattison.
Classes will be on Wednesdays AND Thursdays: 1/18; 1/19; 1/25; 1/26; 2/1; 2/2; 2/8; 2/9; 2/15; 2/16; 2/22; 2/23
Maximum 7 students: Grades 3-5
Felix Neck
In this club, children will explore different island habitats and wildlife. Hands-on learning with live animals each week will be the focus!

Spin-the-Globe Cultural Club
Join Ms. Wooden and Ms. Villota and visit a different country each week. Students will use arts and crafts to learn about the language, the food and different customs of each country.

Drama Club
Join our amazing theater extraordinaire, Donna Swift, and come play theater and improv games that promote teamwork, self-confidence and creativity. “Anyone can act, anyone can improvise.” – Viola Spolin

Science Experiments
Join Ms. Lachapelle and Mrs. Grant each week as we use a variety of materials to perform different science experiments. We will predict, observe, experiment and create all in the name of SCIENCE!
Class will meet on Mondays: 1/23; 1/30; 2/6; 2/13 Grades 2-3 Maximum 12 Students
Yearbook Club with Ms. Gardner
Help create the Edgartown School Yearbook with Ms. Gardner. You will hone your photography and computer skills and be a part of the Edgartown School Eagle spirit!
Classes will be on Thursdays: 1/19; 1/26; 2/2; 2/9; 2/16; 2/23 Maximum 10 students: Grades 6-8
Code Club with Ms. Cunningham
This after school club will focus on computer science, with coding as our primary topic of study. Students will learn about programming, algorithms, loops, and more. All levels of computer science knowledge are welcome! There will be a mix of hands-on and computer-based activities.
Classes will be on Thursdays: 1/19; 1/26; 2/2; 2/9; 2/16; 2/23 Open to all 7th & 8th grade students!!
Arts & Crafts
Come have fun with Ms. DeSouza and Ms. Tamara, as you enjoy various kinds of Arts & Crafts each week!

Latin Dancing with Ms. Tamara
Come join Ms. Tamara and learn the different moves for Latin Dancing! Great exercise, good music and lots of fun!

S.T.E.A.M. with Mr. Faber
"Take the design challenge - think like an engineer, problem-solve, create, collaborate,

Este clube depois da escola vai se concentrar em ciência da computação, com a codificação como nosso principal tópico de estudo. Os alunos aprenderão sobre programação, algoritmos, loops e muito mais. Todos os níveis de conhecimento em informática são bem-vindos! Haverá uma mistura de habilidades práticas e Atividades baseadas em computador.
