Q: What are the most annoying issues for you regarding daily meals, what would you like to change or improve?

A: Boys are playing ice hockey, they are eating a lot, especially after training and it Is very tiring to cook every evening after work.

A: Mostly at home because the kids and husband do not like to go to restaurants because the portions are too small.

A: No restrictions. Quite often we prepare rice, chicken and pasta.

A: We probably should eat more healthy vitamins, more vegetables and especially kids are eating a lot of unhealthy food. Would like to figure out new kinds of recipes.

A: 2-3 times per week, to create shopping lists and decide what to buy for the whole week.

A: Yes.

A: The most annoying thing is making a shopping list and we still always forget something, we go shopping 4-5 times per week.

A: Yes, but it is quite an expensive service in Helsinki.

A: Looks interesting, I would try.

A: It looks nice, and easy-to-use application, and might be really helpful.

Q: What are the most annoying issues for you regarding daily meals, what would you like to change or improve?

A: Cooking is annoying because I am not very capable and it is difficult to follow recipes even if they are very detailed. I also decided to eat less meat and more vegetarian food since the new year but I do not know much about vegetarian dishes.

A: Mostly going out or ordering something if the wife is not cooking but usually she is also very busy.

A: I like a lot of meat, steaks, burgers, and also desserts and sweets.

A: Eat more healthy, more vegetables but it is boring and difficult to change.

A: 2 times per week, annoying that they live in Espoo, a bit remote and it takes time to go to the supermarket and he is sometimes lost to find the right kind of products.

A: Would be useful.

A: If there Is meat, yes.

A: Meat, because of the taste, but try to minimise sweets, pasta, rice, and french fries.

A: I will give it a try, but I think my kids will be more interested.

A: I think it’s easy enough to follow, but I’m not sure if it will motivate me to start cooking myself.

Q: What are the most annoying issues for you regarding daily meals, what would you like to change or improve?

A: The most annoying thing is to figure out the weekly menu for the whole family, making it healthy and taking into account the tastes of everybody in the family. Also since I work in health care, I know how people struggle when they learn that, for instance, they have diabetes and they have to change their usual diet and lifestyle to keep healthy. I think it will be great to have an app that will have advice and menus for these people.

A: Eating at home.

Q: What are your eating habits and preferences (vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerants, particular cuisine)?

A: No restrictions, but I prefer a vegetarian diet, my younger daughter seems to enjoy it too, but my son and husband prefer to eat meat.

A: We eat relatively healthy. But it would be helpful to have access to an easy healthy meal planning app.

Q: How often do you go for food shopping at the supermarket? What is the most annoying thing about food shopping?

A: We live in a small town, so we try to go shopping once every two weeks. The most annoying thing is that we need to drive to the store. We don't have anything within walking distance, it's annoying to get back home and realise that we forgot to buy something.

Q: Would you like to get advice from the nutritionist or dietician?

A: Might be useful, depending on the price of the service.

Q: Would you like to receive a ready made weekly menu that will improve your health?

A: Yes, that would be really helpful and I'm willing to pay for that.

Q: Which dishes/products do you eat most often (examples), why? (taste, quality, price, nutrients, vitamins, healthy, just a habit, affordable, easy to cook etc.)

A: I try to cook simple and light meals, lots of vegetables and meat for my husband and son. I prefer to eat tofu as a protein source. Also in near future, I want to switch to a vegan diet and if the

application can help me with that, that would be great!

Q: Please have a look at our prototype. How likely would you use it?

A: I will definitely use something like this because it will be so much easier, the application just tells you what to cook each day and there is no need to think about this yourself.

Q: What do you like about the prototype?

A: It looks like it will be easy to use, especially I like the possibility of sharing the shopping list that is based on the weekly menu. It will be easier to send my husband to get groceries.

Q: What do you dislike about the prototype, what would you like to improve?

A: I would add more different options for diets, like vegan or raw food recipes. And recipes for people with some health conditions like lactose intolerance.

A: Several years ago I discovered that I have gluten intolerance, and I had a really hard time switching to a new diet. I hate to figure out what to cook at home, and I was really annoyed when I had to search for new recipes that would suit me.

A: I prefer to eat out, but try to eat more at home, especially since the start of the pandemic, but to tell you the truth I hate cooking.

A: I have gluten intolerance and must adjust my weekly meals for that.

A: I try to eat as healthy as I can, but lack of time makes me not as versatile as I would want.

A: I go shopping 3-5 times per week, I don't like to plan meals ahead.

A: I usually buy some ready-made salad from the shop, or cook steak (chicken/beef) at home and serve it with vegetables.

A: Yes. Not sure if I would cook for myself, but I would probably use this application to check what I can order or buy in the store. (get recommendations for gluten-free options)

A: I think it’s a great idea! If it were connected to some delivery service it would be awesome!

Q: What do you dislike about the prototype, what would you like to improve?

A: Maybe add some lists in the user account that will show forbidden products for some conditions.

A: It's annoying to plan your meal and sometimes I want to eat faster than the time to prepare it, even for meals that I could order they could take a long time.

A: I prefer ordering, but not too often because of the costs. It's good to go out sometimes and on most days I eat lunch outside.

A: I don't have any strict diet but I try to limit eating red meat and sometimes I want to eat more vegetarian foods, a couple of times per week.

A: Yes, I would like to have a healthier diet, better scheduling, more versatile food and more

appropriate food for situations, for example, if I do lots of sports, then I need to eat differently that day.

A: I go shopping almost every day. The most annoying thing is not having a good plan, not having all the food I want in a single shop.

A: Maybe adding times in recipe descriptions? It would be helpful to see how long the recipe will take

A: I think about planning ahead, I work shifts and I study, it’s pretty difficult to find time for cooking or figuring out the diet.

Q: Do you prefer cooking at home, going to restaurants or ordering ready made food at home, what do you do more often?

A: I would prefer to order food, but it’s a bit too pricey. So now I have to cook for myself.

A: I’m going to the gym, so I try to eat healthily and eat enough protein, otherwise I don’t have any allergies.

A: I think I have a good idea about how to eat healthily, but I just have a lack of time to plan my weekly menu.

A: I kinda know what is good for me, but I would be curious to try if it’s not too expensive.

A: Highly likely to use it.

Q: What do you like about the prototype?

A:I think it’s a great idea for the application! I’ve been working as a nurse for a while and I know that people who were diagnosed with some disease that requires a special diet, have to search for recipes from various websites or Facebook groups. That would be great if there was an application that contains everything. I’m actually wondering why that kind of application still doesn’t exist because that would be very helpful.

Q: What do you dislike about the prototype, what would you like to improve?

A: I would add more versatile content for health conditions, for example, what people with gastritis can eat if they want to gain weight.

A: It will be an interesting service, but I think it should be available in the native language.

Q: Will you use a chatbot that was created with the help of a nutrition specialist?

A: I guess, you don’t have to take them too seriously, I would use my own judgement before taking the advice. Overall I think it’s a good idea, chatbots getting more advanced these days.

Q: Will you trust and use the services of a foreign dietitian?

A: I’m not sure about that.

Q: Will you use a chatbot that was created with the help of a nutrition specialist?

A: If I see the button Contact nutritionist, I will probably go with a chatbot. Because in my opinion, it will take forever to contact a real specialist and get the answer.
