Hobbies and Interests

I am a keen traveller who likes to experience new places and new people. In the summer of 2009 I cycled the 700 miles across France, from Calais to Marseille, with 6 other friends. In 2012 I then cycled the 550 miles from Copenhagen to Amsterdam. I also love football and play 5-a-sides every week. Additionally, I play golf off a handicap of 9 and in my youth I played for the Riccarton Golf Youth Team where I took part in tournaments across my local county.

Outside of sport, I play the piano and have been in countless rock & indie bands. I also have a passion for filming and video production; on my recent cycling travels I filmed and edited a short film of our experiences and adventures (which is online on YouTube at http://goo.gl/QvHA1W).

Finally, I have a passion for big data and pet programming projects, of which I have undertaken 10’s of successful and unsuccessful tasks over the years.
