A partir dos resultados obtidos nesse estudo pode-se concluir:

 Coronavírus aviário pode ser detectado em amostras de trato reprodutivo, respiratório, urinário e entérico de codornas e galinhas em granjas onde se tem a criação conjunta destas aves com relatos de manifestações clínicas compatíveis com bronquite infecciosa das galinhas em ambas das espécies de hospedeiro.

 Com base em sequências de DNA para os genes codificadores da proteína RNA- polimerase RNA-dependente e da região 3’UTR, pode-se demonstrar que codornas apresentaram coronavírus aviários do mesmo tipo relacionado à bronquite infecciosa das galinhas, com tendência à ocorrência de diversidade molecular associada a padrões geográficos.

 Codornas podem ser reservatórios para coronavírus aviários considerando-se codornas e galinhas criadas em proximidade.
