Esse trabalho foi muito produtivo e gratificante além de trazer muito aprendizado, pois convivi rotineiramente no HU/UFSC, com todos os excelentes profissionais que trabalham no Ambulatório de Estomatologia, além de conhecer um pouco mais de todos os atendimentos realizados pelo setor.
Como o trabalho foi um estudo retrospectivo, com coleta de dados dos prontuários dos pacientes, ficou inviável realizar a calibração dos diversos profissionais que coletaram esses dados no passar desses 21 anos.
Encontrei algumas dificuldades nesse trabalho, como para localizar todos os pacientes e para ter acesso aos seus respectivos prontuários, pois eles são usados por todo o HU e infelizmente alguns desses ficam retidos em certos setores pois estão fazendo parte de outro projeto de pesquisa.

5 CONCLUSÃO
Esta pesquisa permitiu concluir-se que:
- Os serviços prestados pelo Ambulatório de Estomatologia do HU/UFSC são de extrema importância para o acompanhamento e diagnósticos dos pacientes com QA, permitindo a detecção precoce de alterações clínicas sugestivas do câncer e o reforço continuado sobre a necessidade da proteção solar labial e redução da exposição solar;
- A QA já apresenta, na maioria dos casos, características histopatológicas consideradas pela OMS como potencialmente cancerizáveis, reforçando a necessidade e importância do acompanhamento desses pacientes;
- A taxa de transformação maligna dos casos inicialmente diagnosticados como QA foi de 5,2% (excluindo os casos onde os pacientes já chegaram para atendimento com CEC). Com esse dado, comprovamos que o acompanhamento do paciente no ambulatório é de extrema importância, pois ajuda a prevenir essa transformação, podendo realizar um controle melhor e uma melhor proservação.
