EFEITO DA SUPLEMENTAÇÃO DE CAFEÍNA NO DESEMPENHO TÉCNICO DE ATLETAS DE VOLEIBOL DURANTE PARTIDAS OFICIAIS

7. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS

Considerando os dados apresentados no primeiro estudo do presente trabalho, quando a suplementação de CAF em modalidades coletivas é analisada no ambiente prático de simulação, verificando-se o desempenho dos atletas através dos dados provenientes do GPS, é possível identificar aumento ~6,4% na distância total percorrida, ao mesmo tempo em que o número de sprints aumenta em ~30%. Algumas modalidades coletivas podem se beneficiar da suplementação da CAF, visto que esses dados sugerem o maior envolvimento com a partida. Foi demonstrado no presente trabalho que a suplementação de CAF é capaz de aumentar a altura do salto em ~4,7%, com variação entre ~2,1% até ~15,6%. Sendo essa uma das capacidades mais executadas nas modalidades coletivas, é provável que o aumento pontual desse fenômeno possa se traduzir em melhora do desempenho durante partidas oficiais. Ainda, vale ressaltar que a diferença na variação da resposta à CAF pode ser em razão da reserva de adaptação dos indivíduos, no qual os indivíduos menos treinados possuem maior potencial de melhora, enquanto que os indivíduos mais treinados e experientes na modalidade possuem menor espaço para adaptações. Outro fator a ser considerado é a responsividade individual à substância, no qual indivíduos que metabolizam mais lentamente a CAF podem não se beneficiar da suplementação ou então ter o seu desempenho prejudicado, enquanto que indivíduos que metabolizam a CAF de forma rápida, estão propensos à usufruir em maior magnitude da suplementação de CAF. De qualquer forma, a utilização da CAF em doses que variam entre 3 a 6 mg/kg pode ser uma estratégia suplementar benéfica para os atletas de modalidades coletivas, desde que essa utilização seja supervisionada por um profissional capacitado.

No segundo estudo do presente trabalho, foi realizada a análise do efeito da CAF durante ambientação competitiva real em atletas de Voleibol. Foi possível observar melhora geral do desempenho dentro de quadra através do escore de desempenho (VOTO), sugerindo que as ações de jogo foram mais eficientes. Ainda, a CAF foi responsável por influenciar as ações de Recepções e Levantamentos, diminuindo a quantidade dessas ações classificadas como negativas. A partir desse resultado, é proposto que a utilização desse suplemento pode diminuir a execução de erros durante as ações de PASSE, devido à melhora na cognição desses jogadores. Desse modo, o presente trabalho reforça a utilização de CAF, que foi capaz de

promover aumento do desempenho mesmo durante competições oficiais, sendo considerada estratégia válida para as modalidades coletivas. Contudo, existe ainda a questão sobre a individualidade das respostas ao consumo de CAF, que deve ser avaliada em estudos futuros.
