Limitações e Sugestões de Pesquisas Futuras

Embora o estudo desenvolvido tenha alcançado todos os objetivos propostos, conforme já exposto no quadro 06, apresenta algumas limitações como toda pesquisa científica. A primeira limitação diz respeito ao método da amostra ser por conveniência, caracterizada pelos visitantes terem sido escolhidos aleatoriamente pela pesquisadora, o que não permite que os resultados sejam expandidos para o conjunto de visitantes que frequentaram o destino. A segunda limitação, se trata do período de aplicação do instrumento de coleta de dados, que não contemplou a temporada inteira de cruzeiros marítimos, podendo haver alguma diferença com relação aos turistas que visitaram o destino nos meses de novembro e dezembro de 2019. A terceira limitação trata do estudo ser altamente local, no destino de escala Balneário Camboriú, fazendo com que seus resultados não possam ser generalizados. A quarta limitação envolve o cancelamento de cruzeiros por conta de mau tempo e também da pandemia COVID-19, que fez com que cinco cruzeiros cancelassem a vinda ao destino e que a amostra mínima para uma população infinita não fosse alcançada, embora uma amostra com 10 respondentes por variável, como é o caso desta investigação, também seja validado pela literatura.

Sugere-se para futuras pesquisas aplicar o questionário durante toda a temporada de cruzeiro, que normalmente ocorre de novembro a março, no Brasil, e também em outros portos brasileiros e internacionais, para perceber como ocorre esta relação em outros locais e fazer uma comparação dos dados.
