When the handset is in the charging station, the flashing or illuminated sections indicate charging and the charging level. If you are not making a call and the mobile phone is not in the charging station, "Battery empty" appears on the screen.
Handset Subscription (Checking In)
When the battery capacity is almost exhausted, the battery symbol will flash on the display. If you're on a call at the time, you still have up to three minutes of talk time before the handset turns itself off.

This may mean that - even though call forwarding is programmed - calls are nevertheless indicated on your device. The system administrator is able to analyze call forwarding chains and eliminate any possible conflicts.

In Forum 500 / Forum 5000, numbers can be configured to which no phone and no subscribers are assigned (virtual numbers). The system administrator can forward a virtual number to another internal number, for example, your phone number.
VIP Calls
When you receive an external call where the caller indicates a different number than the number actually transferred (CLIP no screening), your display will show a “?” next to the call number. If the specified call number is saved as a telephone book entry as usual, the name is displayed with a question mark.

Call authorization logging must be activated for your user group (in the Configurator, menu User Manager: User groups). The administrator must activate the Beep Call Log authorization for your user group (in the Configurator, menu User Manager: User Groups).

Entrance Intercom Calls
This ensures that forwarded door calls do not inadvertently lead to continuous calls (eg to a voice box). Your system administrator can set the period in Forum 500 / Forum 5000 from 30 to 300 seconds and will be able to tell you the current value.
Announcements (with and without Intercom)
Under To: you enter the call number (of a single terminal or of a group of terminals). That feature requires your user group to have "Accept Announcement" permission granted by your system administrator.
Answering a Callback
When you have activated announcement protection (see page 84) and/or intercom protection (see page 85) on your mobile phone, announcements to your calling number will not be made.

Add Phone Numbers to Phone Book from Lists or During a Call
In the relevant phonebook, select the entry to which you want to add a number (please also refer to the explanations under "Search for name" in the section entitled "Phonebook" menu starting on page 63). Note: If you want to edit the phonebook entries (for example, to change the name or number), use the "Phonebook" menu (see also. The "Phonebook" menu starting on page 88).
Your Forum Free 565/575’s Local Phone Book
Speed dial: You can assign a speed dial number (0…9) to the selected entry in the local phone book. When the Forum Free 575 is idle, you can press and hold a speed dial number (keys 0…9) to view the associated entry in the local phone book.

Main” Menu
Call Forwarding: This menu group contains all types of call forwarding that you can program on your phone. In this menu group, you can configure your phone to meet your personal requirements (eg volume, idle settings, key lock and screen contrast).
Calls” Menu
You can also use the number keys 4(rewind), 5(pause) and 6(fast forward) to control message playback. You can also use the number keys 4 (to rewind), 5 (to break) and 6 (to fast forward).
Call forwarding” Menu
Then key in the call forwarding destination (please refer to the chapter entitled Making external/internal calls from page 38). Follow me: This type of call forwarding is configured on a destination phone after which calls are forwarded for an originating (source) phone.
Messages” Menu
Enter the internal call number of the user to whom you want to send the message. Under Time you can enter the time at which the appointment reminder should be activated.
Phone settings” Menu
Order PP: Orders the handset (PP = portable part) to the base station (FP = fixed part). New: Order the portable unit (PP = portable part) to the base station (FP = fixed part).
Protection” Menu
Contact your system administrator for information about the changed set of features when phone lock is activated. Please note that call waiting protection is only activated on the phone on which it is set.
Connections” Menu
Number: Enter the internal call number of the terminal whose authorization is to be changed. Phonebook: You can find and select the desired call number in the communication system's phonebook (see page 63).
Applications” Menu
Note: The option configured for transferring your calling number is only considered by the system if your user group has the display phone number on/off enabled per connection authorization. The default number is the number used if you do not select any other number before establishing the connection.
Central settings” Menu

Voicebox Junk.: This menu item is only available when there are entries in the voicebox message list (refer to the section titled “Voicebox Messages” on page 72). Short messages: This menu item is only available when there are entries in the short message list (refer to the section entitled “Short messages” on . page 76).

Agreements: This menu item is only available if you have at least one active agreement (see section "Agreements" on page 77). Phone lock: This menu item is only available if you have activated the phone lock.

Care and Maintenance
Operation with/without MEM card
Appendix Forum Free 575 with a MEM card. telephone data), removing it will result in the Forum Free 575 no longer functioning until a programmed MEM card is inserted. A programmed MEM card means: a MEM card that has been installed in another device or a MEM card that has been specially prepared by the Service (for example as a replacement).
Inserting the MEM card
Slide the MEM card (with the contact surface down) under the crescent holders (a) in the MEM card compartment. Close the MEM card compartment with the cover (push the cover's notch into the case until the cover completely covers the MEM card).
Removing the MEM card
In this way, make sure that the cut edge of the MEM card is at the bottom left.
