Indicates that a function or operating mode is locked and therefore cannot be used or selected. It indicates that the system is controlled by the central control equipment (optional accessory) and that the control of the system by the controller is limited. Indicates that the system is running on a schedule or that the OFF timer is enabled.

It indicates that the system's power consumption is limited and that it is operating at limited capacity. Indicates that the system's power consumption is no longer limited and that it is no longer operating at limited capacity.

About the operation modes

If the indoor unit is a cooling-only model, it can be set to operate only in Cooling, Fan Only or Cooling operation mode. The indoor unit can operate in the cooling operation mode because it operates under return conditions. The indoor unit can operate in the heating operation mode because it operates in return conditions.

The fan of the indoor unit will run automatically until the internal temperature of the system rises to a certain level. Before turning off the system, wait for the drain pump to finish draining the water left in the indoor unit (about 1 minute).

To set the operation mode

To prevent water leakage or system failure, DO NOT shut down the system immediately after indoor unit operation.

Fan speed

In this case, the indoor unit automatically adjusts the fan speed according to the set point and indoor temperature. For mechanical protection purposes, it is possible for the indoor unit to automatically switch to "Auto Fan Speed" mode. It may take some time before the changes made to the fan speed settings actually take effect.

Result: The indoor unit changes its fan speed and the controller returns to the home screen.

So make sure the indoor unit is turned on to make the controller work. If it is the first and only controller connected to the indoor unit, it will automatically be designated as the main controller. In the event that digital input adapter BRP7A5* is part of the system, it is not possible to connect and designate a second controller.

Connecting a second controller when the system already contains the adapter will cause the adapter to fail. If you cannot find a function in a slave controller, check it in the master controller.

To designate a controller as slave

If a slave controller does not display the home screen 2 minutes after its designation, turn off the power and check the wiring.

Remote controller field setting R1-11 allows for changes to the behavior of the status indicator, making the controller suitable for use in hotels. Depending on configuration, the home screen displays the setpoint either as a numerical value, or as a symbol. In the event that the home screen displays the setpoint as a symbol, it will only display the status icons of the standard home screen mode, even when the controller is in detailed home screen mode.

The controller is equipped with a power saving function that causes the screen to go blank after a period of inactivity. When there is information to forward, the controller appears in the upper left corner of the home screen.

Operation mode

About the operation modes

Additionally, when operating modes are not available in the operating mode menu, they may be locked. If the operating mode changeover of an indoor unit is under centralized control (status icon 'changeover under centralized control' flashes in the home screen), then it is NOT possible to change the operating mode of that indoor unit. If the outdoor air temperature is high, it may take some time for the indoor temperature to reach the set temperature.

When the indoor room temperature is low and the indoor unit is set to operate in the cooling operation mode, the indoor unit may first enter the defrost operation mode (i.e. heating operation), this to prevent a decrease in the cooling capacity of the system due to the frost of the heat exchanger. When operating in the heating operating mode, the system takes longer to reach the set point temperature than when operating in the cooling operating mode. To compensate for this, it is recommended that the system start operation in advance using the timer function.

When the system is stopped while the indoor unit is running in heating operation mode, the fan will continue to run for approx. 1 minute, this to remove any remaining heat in the indoor unit. If the heating capacity of the system is insufficient, it is recommended to include another heater in the setup (if you use a combustion device, ventilate the room regularly. Also, do not use the heater in places where it is exposed to the air flow of the indoor unit). As a result, after starting operation, the indoor unit takes some time to warm up the room.

When warm air stays under the ceiling and your feet feel cold, it is recommended to include a circulator in the setup.

Result: The indoor unit changes operating mode and the controller returns to the home screen.

Result: The status indicator adjusts its intensity and the controller returns to the installer menu. The controller provides the possibility to make field settings related to the indoor unit and to the controller itself. The connection of optional accessories to the indoor unit may cause changes in some local settings.

How to assign an address to an individual indoor unit Prerequisite: You are in the installer menu. In order to connect the system to the AirNet monitoring and diagnosis system, you are required to assign the necessary addresses to the indoor and outdoor units. When this timer expires, the previous state (i.e. the regular set point) changes to the "Reset Default" state. If the reset timer has not expired, the unit returns to the state it was in before it opened the contact. When the reset timer expires, the previous state is updated to the "Default Reset Setting" state.

IF the reset timer did NOT expire before the keycard was inserted, the previous state is the same as the original state because only the original state has changed. IF the reset timer did NOT expire before the key card was inserted, the unit returns to the state it was in before the window was opened (last power-on state);. IF the reset timer has expired before the key card is inserted, the unit goes into the "Default Reset Setting" state.

Result: The indoor unit fan corresponding to the selected indoor unit number starts operating. Result: The indoor unit is now master for cooling/heating (icon "changeover under centralized control" not on controller).

This function is not supported if the system contains Sky Air RR or RQ outdoor units. In systems where the indoor units operate simultaneously, this function is controlled by the motion sensor mounted in the master indoor unit. This function cannot be used if the digital input adapter BRP7A5* is part of the system.

When the indoor units are under the control of a centralized controller, only indoor unit setpoint logic is possible. External input latching allows for the integration of external contacts into the system's control logic. To use this function, it is necessary that the digital input adapter BRP7A5* is part of the system.

When the digital input adapter is part of the system, the system does not allow the connection of a slave controller. For more information on indoor unit maintenance, refer to the indoor unit operating instructions. Assign AirNet addresses to the indoor and outdoor units, this to connect the system to the AirNet monitoring and diagnosis system.

Set addresses for indoor units to control the system with central control devices. 3 Navigate to the operation screen of the controller that is connected to the indoor unit(s) on which you want to perform a test. Result: The indoor units enter test operation mode, during which normal operation is not possible.

About maintenance
