Abstract

In this work we aimed to identify some possibilities of increasing the recovery of the tourism potential of the historical region Crisan. Given the multitude of economic implications, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of rural tourism by increasing recovery tourist potential, the positive impact of this economic activity will be felt by all concerned: residents, entrepreneurs, tourists and local public administration.

We analyzed a set of the 26 factors were analyzed, ranking obtained from processing the responses provided by the 391 respondents.

Based on this ranking, based on the average score obtained, calculated by coding the answers of respondents, we could say that all factors have an average score above the average of 3 points, contributed in a more visible to development of rural tourism from historical region Crisana.

Any intervention or any project that aims to increase the influence of one or more of these factors can bring economic impacts, socio-cultural or ecological more important.

On the contrary, all factors had a mean score less than 3 points can be considered difficulties for the development of this economic activity, and any projects developed that have targeted these factors, not have attained to the extent expected.

1.Introduction

Through this research we wanted to identify some possibilities of increasing the recovery of the tourism potential of the historical region Crisan.

Given the multitude of economic implications, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of rural tourism by increasing recovery tourist potential, the positive impact of this economic activity will be felt by all concerned: residents, entrepreneurs, tourists and local public administration.

Table 1 presents a ranking of the 26 factors were analyzed, ranking obtained from processing the responses provided by the 391 respondents.

On top are the following factors: local hospitality owners of pensions; tourist attractions; increased interest in maintaining health; general appearance of the farms; asserting the originality and authenticity of localities; amenities (phone, cable TV, internet, air conditioning, secure parking).

So the perception of respondents, view shared by us, is that these factors have led to a better exploitation of tourism potential.

The last places are the following factors: the existence of development strategies for medium and long term of the tourist activity; specific investments; infrastructure; condition of access to the sights; state tourist routes; status indicators of tourist routes.

With regard to these factors, we consider that approach is required to determine a reduction of the negative effects and even turn them into development factors.

Crisana region has a fairly rich rural tourism potential, even attractive. This potential is insufficiently capitalized, development arrivals during 2001-2012 (only from 2001 records official statistics on arrivals for each locality) shows a slight increase, with only 0.8% across in rural of region Crişana.

This opinion, a low level of tourist potential, we share and we, being supported by the perception of respondents on which we applied the questionnaire. Centralization of their responses is shown in Figure 1.

Looking at the chart we can say that respondents are almost convinced that it is properly exploit rural tourism potential of the area.

In this work we aimed to identify some of these opportunities that could lead to a better exploitation of the potential of rural tourism in the historic region Crisana.

2.Possibilities of increasing leverage of rural tourism potential

Needs to develop a profitable tourism in rural areas, starting at transformation that should take place in rural areas, to meet the increasingly diversified demands of the contemporary tourists.

To make a radiography of the respondents' opinions about the needs for development of quality tourism in rural areas, we addressed the following question:

What do you think would be the possibilities for developing a quality tourism in rural areas?

Respondents were asked to speak on several possibilities available with the following response options: very important, important, average important, less important and not important.

Fig.2. The need of increasing the level of civilization and comfort of farms

Next, we present their opinions on five opportunities identified. development of civilization and comfort level of the farms.

The responses received from the 391 respondents of the importance of this issue shows the great importance of this possibility, but unfortunately very difficult, fig.2.

Most consistent of respondents, 79% consider this possibility important and very important. Only 5% of respondents considered less important and not important.

change the mentality of entrepreneurs as well as residents who took for the tourism one or more rooms in their own home

We can reformulate and add the need for change of mindset synthesized by the words "anything goes" or "go anyway" and understanding the requirements and need for professionalism and performance in the tourist activities.

Fig.3. Need to change the mentality

The responses received from the 391 respondents of the importance of this issue are represented in Figure 3. and shows the importance of this possibility. In this situation, 90% of respondents consider this important and very important. Only 1% think it is not important and less important.

This would impose driving for modules or specialized training courses for all those working in this area or intend to start such a business. These stages are needed to acquire specific skills of rural tourism activity and requirement should come by express rules of the central public administration.

improvement and upgrading of accommodation and dining. 87% of respondents believe that appearance is important and very important, figure 4. The responses received from the 391 respondents on this possibility shows its importance, which is why owners of guesthouses or locals who took to the touristic one or more rooms should be concerned constantly improving these conditions because tourists consider that is necessary.

development of entrepreneurship among the residents. The responses received from the 391 respondents of the importance of this issue shows that 84% of respondents considered this possibility as important and very important and only 3% are considered less important and not, fig.5. This can be improved through education and training. We return again to the idea that both management level and at the implementation level, all personnel must have specialized studies as positions filled and even under the Code Classification of Occupations from Romania.

As I said earlier, we reiterate the idea that interventions consistent, large investments can achieve an increase leverage of potential, but we have decided to make some proposals that do not involve high costs.

3.Conclusions

Sure the appropriate investment from both the central public administration, for main, large infrastructure and by entrepreneurs, for some specific investment attractiveness of the region in terms of tourism, it would be much higher. But as these investments are expected and probably still leave will last long enough to be implemented in large tourism development projects, we aimed to identify some opportunities for development of tourism in rural area, under the circumstances, conditions current.

The needs for development of rural tourism quality, profitable, starting at transformations that should be in rural areas to meet the demands of ever growing and diversified contemporary traveler.

Among the opportunities identified include:

• increasing the level of civilization and comfort of farms;

• change of mentality, giving up a way of thinking synthesized by the words "anything goes" or "go anyway";

• improving and modernizing the accommodation and dining;

• development of the entrepreneurship;

• development opportunities for leisure.

At county council level there is concern for the implementation of tourism strategy by which to prioritize investments in its own funds or funds raised by European funding programs. After analyzing the tourism potential and identify key tourism forms specific to each county is trying exploitation largest potential effects already enrolled in tours or entry into these circuits to areas not yet exploited, although potentially present. The latter situation is rural tourism which has inexhaustible resources operating from Romanian village novelty and to the silence of the countryside.

Although legislative concerns and investments by local authorities or central administration effects are not always as expected, so the rural tourism potential is insufficiently exploited.
