Nem bem um volume é fechado, já se começa a preparação do próximo, que compreende uma análise dos acertos e dos erros, da melhoria na divulgação, aumento de artigos, e por ai vai.
Embora a REM se prepara para o seu 77º aniversário (janeiro de 2013), a busca pela excelência não para, pois sabe-se que, as pesquisas cientíicas, nas áreas abrangidas pela REM, tomaram grande impulso no mundo e, em especial, no Brasil.
A adoção da língua inglesa, a partir de 2012, na certa começa abrir a REM para o exterior, embora, tenha sido decidido publicar os artigos anteriores a esta data, na língua em que foram registrados.
Um novo editor da área de mineração, Prof. Dr. Carlos Adolpho Magalhães Baltar, da Universidade de Pernambuco, faz com que a REM tenha editores de todas as regiões do Brasil. E, a meta para 2013, será a busca de editores e avaliadores internacionais.
Finalmente, foi decisivo para a manutenção da revista, o apoio de empresas do setor, do CNPq, da FAPEMIG, do Scielo, etc.

When one issue of the REM magazine is completed, another is already in preparation and involves detailed analyses for errors, efforts to expand circulation, and increasing the number of articles, etc.
Although REM is preparing to celebrate its 77th anniversary (January, 2012), the strive for excellence has not stopped, since it is well known that scientiic research in the realm of REM’s topics has become greatly accentuated worldwide, but especially in Brazil.
The adoption of English as the magazine’s language (since 2012) opened the market for foreign circulation. Before this date, the policy had been to print the article in the language in which it had been submitted.
A new editor in the mining ield, Prof. Dr. Carlos Adolpho Magalhães Baltar, from the Universidade de Pernambuco, signiies that REM now has editors from all the regions of Brazil. The goal for 2013 is to include international editors and referees.
Credit is now given to CNPq, FAPEMIG, and Scielo, etc. for their decision to maintain the magazine in circulation.
