RESOLUTION

CD13.R38

PLANNING FOR THE RESEARCH PROGRAM OF THE PAHO

THE 13rd DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the report of the Director on planning for the research program of the Pan

American Health Organization (Documents CD13/15 and CE43/16), 1 and the steps already being

taken for the expansion of research in the Region; and

Considering that such expansion of research will be of benefit to the health and medical programs

throughout the Americas,

RESOLVES

1. To approve the plan and policies proposed by the Director of the Bureau in Document

CE43/16 in connection with the research program of the Pan American Health Organization.

2. To request the Director to take the necessary action to further intensify the research activities

of PAHO for the benefit of the countries of the Region.
