RESOLUTION

REQUEST OF THE IICA FOR ADMISSION INTO OFFICIAL

RELATIONS WITH THE PAHO

THE 28th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined the request submitted by the Director of the Inter-American Institute for

Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and Resolutions XIV of the XIV Pan American Sanitary

Conference and XXXVIII of the XXVII Meeting of the Directing Council,

Considering that the decision on requests of this kind rests with the Conference or the Directing

Council, in accordance with Article 26 of the Constitution of the Pan American Health

Organization; and

Taking note of Resolution XXVIII of the 86th Meeting of the Executive Committee,

RESOLVES

1. To approve the request submitted by the Director of the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation

on Agriculture for admission into official relations with the Pan American Health Organization.

2. To ask the Director to transmit this decision to the Director of the Institute.
