RESOLUTION

CD7.R5

RETAINMENT OF POSITIONS IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES BY

THE INTERNATIONAL STAFF OF THE PASB

THE 7th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Bearing in mind Document CD7/21, presented by the Director of the Pan American Sanitary

Bureau in compliance with Resolution IX adopted by the Directing Council at its VI Meeting,

which contains a summary of the opinions of 19 Member Governments of the Organization; and

Considering that measures to enable the international staff of the Pan American Sanitary Bureau to

retain their positions in their own countries facilitate the recruitment of competent personnel and

therefore assure a more effective performance of the functions of the Pan American Sanitary

Bureau,

To suggest to the Member Governments of the Organization that they grant every facility to enable

their experts to serve with the Pan American Sanitary Bureau and retain their positions, in

accordance with existing legislation in the respective country.
