LÍNGUA E IDENTIDADE: ELOS QUE SE FORTALECEM

RES UMO: O objet ivo deste trabalho é apresentar um estudo sobre a concepção de língua, linguagem e sua relação com a sociedade e com a identidade social do falante, pois a língua é um fato social (SAUSSURE, 1989) sendo produzida socialmente pelos falantes no seio da comunidade onde eles vivem, refletindo características inerentes à própria comunidade, sejam e las social, cultural, regional que demarca m e define m os grupos de falantes. Em mu itas situações, tais grupos são classificados de forma pejorativa, pois muitas pessoas geram preconceitos a respeito das variações linguísticas, o que pode levar ao preconceito linguístico (BA GNO, 2007), principalmente o fala r das pessoas das camadas sociais menos favorecidas. Faz-se també m u ma refle xão acerca do papel da sociolinguística e como esta auxilia no entendimento da heterogeneidade da língua portuguesa falada no Brasil, que por sua vez apresenta uma cu ltura co mple xa, oriunda das influências de outros povos, e de o utras culturas.

ABSTRACT: The objective of this work is to present a study about the conception of tongue, language and its relation with the society and with the social identity (SAUSSURE, 1989) be ing social produced by the speakers among the community where they live, reflecting common characteristics of this proper community, being it social, cultural, regional that ma rks and defines the speakers groups. In many situations, this groups are classifieds in a bad way because many peo ple create preconception about the linguistics variations and this may guide to linguistics preconception (BAGNO, 2007), manly the way of speak of the social unfavored ones. It is made a lso a reflection about the role of the sociolinguistic and how it helps on understanding the diversity of the Portuguese spoken on Brazil, that on its side shows a comple x cu lture, ca me fro m in fluences of other people and other cultures.
