Café Oliveira it is a traditional Portuguese coffee bar. Our goal is to provide a pleasant space where Portuguese and Czech culture meet. Therefore we function as an informal cultural center for lovers of Portuguese culture and we are always willing to give information about Portugal or on its products. Similarly, we try to help Portuguese who are in the Czech Republic working, studying or just on holiday.
In our place you can find a variety of exclusive Portuguese products, which we import directly from Portugal.
Coffee Delta is a leader in the Portuguese market. This brand was created in the 60’s. In our Cafe you can taste Delta Platinum. This blend of coffee is a selection of the finest Arabica and Robusta. It has an excellent aroma and delicate flavour of ripe fruit.
In every single Portuguese Cafe you get the traditional cake “pastel de nata” (egg tart pastry). Food historians and those familiar with the cultural significance of these pastries, claim that “pasteis de nata” were firstly made just prior to the 18th century by monks at the Jerónimos Monastery in Lisbon. This place was called Belem, which is where the pastries got their name from. At our place, we bake them daily in order to be always fresh.
Another Portuguese symbol is the port wine, a fortified wine produced in the valleys of the Douro River in northern Portugal.
Douro Region is characterized by very cold winters and hot, dry summers. It is wine with a higher proportion of residual sugar (often presented as a dessert wine).
Portugal is also an ideal area for wine growing. From our wide selection you can choose your favourite one.

Minho
Vinho Verde, literally “green wine”, grows in temperate conditions which leads to a slow maturation, making it light and fresh with lots of acidity. The wine is fine sparkling due to the residual CO2. Although there are red Vinho Verde, is the white wine that enjoys much greater popularity.
Douro
Douro is particularly famous for the production of so-called fortified wines. This area, however, thanks to its special microclimate, began to grow the production not only of the world-famous Port wine, but as well a high quantity of table wine, red, rosé and white wine.
Dão
Dão region is extremely mountainous, so the vines are mostly deployed on the steep slopes on typical terraces. The annually production is about 270,000 hectoliters of wine, of which 90% are red wines. The main varieties used in their manufacture is the traditional Touriga Nacional, which gives rise to wines with higher tannin content.Lisboa
This region is located north west of Lisbon, occupying an area of about 40 km. The climate is mild due to Atlantic influence.
Summers are fresh and winters soft, though colder in areas farther from the sea. Lisboa’s wines are known for their good quality/price ratio.
Alentejo
The driest area occupying nearly one third of the area of Portugal provides the grapes plenty of sunshine and warmth. The wines from this region are strong and have a full bodied flavour.
