EMENTA (parte permanente)
A disciplina visa abordar a epistemologia de uma perspectiva eminentemente histórica, isto é, acompanhando a tematização das questões fundamentais em torno da questão do conhecimento em um ou mais autores ao longo da história, desde a sua origem na filosofia grega até seus desdobramentos mais recentes na teoria do conhecimento contemporânea. Dentre os muitos temas e textos filosóficos que podem ser aqui abordados, mencionamos o Teeteto de Platão, os Segundos Analíticos de Aristóteles, as críticas céticas à possibilidade de conhecimento, a metafísica do conhecimento proposta pelos filósofos patrísticos e medievais, o renascimento do problema do conhecimento no Renascimento em autores como Ramus, Montaigne, Sanchez e Bacon, a discussão sobre o entendimento humano ao longo da história da filosofia moderna e em Kant, ou as diversas ramificações do problema do conhecimento na filosofia contemporânea.
