Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and who give their wealth, for the love of Him, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveller and the beggar, and for [the freeing of ] the slaves, and maintain the prayer and give the zakat, and those who fulfill their covenants,and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. ( al-Baqarah : 177 )

Lessons Learnt:
And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah ." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of ] himself. And whoever denies [His favor] - then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy. (12)
And [mention, O Muhammad], when Luqman said to his son while he was instructing him, "O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah . Indeed, association [with him] is great injustice." (13)

َن,IُQI َ2ْ#َ> ْ`ُmIIْRIIُs 5I َ2ِ= ْ`ُ/ُ}IIO(IَJُwIIIَr ْ`ُ/ُ#ِbْ!َS
Lessons Learnt:
And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination. (14) But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. (15)

[And Luqman said], "O my son, indeed if wrong should be the weight of a mustard seed and should be within a rock or [anywhere] in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Indeed, Allah is Subtle and Acquainted. (16)

ِر,IُSُ ْ’ا ِمْ{Iَ- ْUِS َ|ِ$َٰذ
O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination. (17)

Lessons Learnt:
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful. (18) And be moderate in your pace and lower your voice; indeed, the most disagreeable of sounds is the voice of donkeys." (19)

Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised. (30)

ٍ`Ifِ3َر ٍر,ُHَ„ ْUِS ًWُ{ُJ
We were your allies in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request. (31) As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful." (32)(٣٠)

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." (33)

ٌةَواَyIَ- ُjَRIIْfIَ=َو َ|َRIIْfIَ= يِV<$ا اَذِ‚َr ُU َB ْ3َأ َGِa Gِm<$5Iِ= ْ‰َrْدا ۚ ُ1َ}IIOfI <B$ا َWَو ُ1َRII َB َAْ$ا يِ,َmII ْBَ> َWَو
ٌ`fIِ2 َ3 ƒGِ$َو ُj<JَwIIIَs
(٣٣)(٣٤)
And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend. (34)

But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good]. (35)

warzuqnee tilawathahu anaa al layl wa athraaf an nahaar
and give me the ability to recite it at the ends of night and the day
lِ2َQٰ#$ا <بَر 5َ7 ٌ1 <š ُ3 *ِ$ ُjQَ#bاو
waja-al-hoo lee hujjathun yaa rabbil a’lameen
and make it for me a manifest proof oh Lord of the A’lameen
