Shrub 1-1.2 m , the young b r a n c h l e t s , petioles adaxially, inf lorescence, and hypanthia densely s e t u l o s e with barbellate hairs 1- 1 . 5 ( - 2 ) mm long. Leaf blades 8-12cm long, 4-8cm w i d e , e l 1 i p t i c - o v a t e , blunt-acute to s h o r t - a c u m i n a t e at the a p e x , cordulate 3-7mm at the base, rigid and e n t i r e , a b o v e sparsely and caducously r o u g h e n e d - s e t u l o s e , below m o d e r - ately puberulous with s t e l1u l a t e - d e n d r i t i c hairs 0. 1- 0 . 1 5 m m d i a m , 5-nerved with the secondary veins 3 - 6 m m apart and the o b s c u r e v e n u l e s laxly ( 1 - 2 m m ) r e t i c u l a t e ; petioles 1 - 2 ( - 3 ) cm long. 1nflorescence 3 - 7- f l o w e r e d and c o n g e s t e d , t h e peduncle 1 - 4 cm long, the caducous puberuious bracteoles 5 - 6 mm long and 1- 1. 5 mm w i d e ; f lowers 5 - m e r o u s , thethick pedicels 3 - 4 mm long.
