O que o estudo fundamentalmente pretende é estudar a questão da informalidade no Brasil, principalmente, e em nível internacional, a partir de evidências empíricas de vários autores que elaboraram estudos tanto para o caso da economia brasileira, como também para o caso da economia internacional. A partir das resenhas, procurar-se-á retratar, também, as investigações elaboradas pelos autores em relação aos determinantes da seleção por parte dos trabalhadores formais ou informais e o relativo impacto de diferentes fatores no mercado de trabalho na renda nos dois estágios. Ademais, o objetivo é investigar, no caso brasileiro, sobretudo, outras prováveis características que estejam associadas com a escolha do setor informal, tais como: tamanho do estabelecimento, método de pagamento, posição dentro da família, dentre outros. A partir também dos estudos dos autores, espera-se que as principais indagações sobre o setor informal possam ser dirimidas, como: o diferencial de rendimentos entre os setores formal e informal, as características associadas ao setor informal, a discussão em nível internacional e a questão da segmentação no mercado de trabalho brasileiro.

ABSTRACT
What the study primarily aims is to study the issue of informality in Brazil mainly and internationally, from empirical evidence of several authors who prepared studies for both the case of the Brazilian economy, as well as for the case of the international economy. From the reviews, it will seek to portray also the investigations made by the authors regarding the determinants of the selection by the formal and informal workers and the relative impact of different factors on labor market income in two stages. Moreover, the aim is to investigate, in Brazil especially likely other characteristics that are associated with the choice of the informal sector, such as establishment size, payment method, position within the family, among others. From the authors of the studies also, it is expected that the main questions about the informal sector can be resolved, as the income differential between the formal and informal sectors, the characteristics associated with the informal sector, the discussion at the international level and the question segmentation in the Brazilian labor market.
