• Usamos o genitive case (’s) para indicar posse. O termo usado antes de ’s se refere a que ou quem possui e o termo usado após ’s se refere ao elemento
possuído.
Exemplo
“A dog’s life is a lonely life.” “A vida do cachorro é uma vida solitária.” “Snoopy é o cachorro de Charlie Brown”
His sister’s name is Sally. O nome da irmã dele é Sally. 1. Singular: acrescentamos 's ao substantivo.
Mandy's brother John plays football. (John, irmão de Mandy, joga futebol.) My teacher's name is ... O nome da minha professora é...)
Tom’s pencil. (The pencil belongs to Tom.) (O lápis de Tom.) Sarah's brother. (O irmão de Sarah.)
