Objetivos
Aprofundar os fundamentos teóricos e metodológicos do SS no quadro das ciências e sociais humanas; Entender os principais paradigmas teóricos do SS e as suas dimensões estruturantes discutindo a importância das mudanças sociopolíticas e económicas para a compreensão da realidade social; Revelar a legitimidade teórica do Serviço Social fundada em correntes de pensamento estruturalistas e pós-estruturalistas
Competências para:
Compreender o pensamento do Serviço social no contexto das mudanças sociais e políticas; Interiorizar as teorias, atitudes e valores do Serviço Social de acordo com princípios universais e culturais específicos;
Descrever realidade sociais complexas e potenciar a capacidade crítica e reflexiva das questões sociais;
Comprometer-se com as desigualdades sociais e o ativismo social.
Learning outcomes of the curricular
unit Aims
To deepen the theoretical and methodological foundations of SW within the human sciences and social framework;
To understand the main theoretical paradigms in SW and its structuring dimensions discussing the importance of socio-political and economic changes for the understanding of social reality;
Reveal the theoretical legitimacy of SW based on structuralist and poststructuralist currents of thought; Competence to:
Understand SW thinking in the context of social and political changes;
Internalize the theories and values of SW according to specific universal and cultural principles; Describe complex social reality and enhance the critical and reflective capacity of social issues; Commit to social inequalities and social activism.

Metodologia de Ensino e
Avaliação Sessões expositivas baseadas em metodologias participativas que permitam o esclarecimento, clarificação e aprofundamento de conceitos e a reflexão conceptual dos temas em debate, com trabalhos individuais e de grupo, apresentação oral, e com a reflexão sobre relatos de experiência de convidados, profissionais de Serviço Social em sala de aula.
Existem duas modalidades de avaliação
1 - Avaliação Contínua (AC): o acesso a esta modalidade de avaliação implica a adesão escrita do aluno, e a assiduidade mínima de 75%, controlada através da assinatura da folha de presenças em cada sessão letiva. Esta modalidade de avaliação é constituída pelos seguintes elementos de avaliação:
Teste individual escrito (50%);
Um trabalho de grupo apresentado oralmente e discutido em sala de aula (50%= 40% para o trabalho escrito e + 10% para a apresentação oral)
2-Avaliação Final (AF): prova de exame escrito (100%).
Teaching and Assesment
Methodologies Expository sessions based on participatory methodologies that allow the clarification, clarification and
deepening of concepts and conceptual reflection of the topics under discussion, with individual and group work, oral presentation, and with reflection on experience reports from guests, Social Work professionals. in the classroom.
There are two types of assessment
1 - Continuous Assessment (AC): access to this type of assessment implies the student's written adherence, and the minimum attendance of 75%, controlled by signing the attendance sheet in each school session. This type of assessment consists of the following assessment elements:
Individual written test (50%);
A group assignment presented orally and discussed in the classroom (50% = 40% for the written assignment and + 10% for the oral presentation)
2-Final Assessment (AF): Exam written test (100%).
