Teoria de Relações Internacionais - B

I – Ementa:

Análise de programas de pesquisa científicos em Relações Internacionais, a metodologia de Imre Lakatos e a polêmica com Popper e Kuhn. O núcleo duro do Realismo e as mudanças de ênfase intra-programa (Realismo Estrutural; Realismo Ofensivo e Realismo Neoclássico). As mudanças de ênfase em direção a programas de pesquisa próximos e avaliação da comensurabilidade dos problemas de pesquisa (Realismo Hegemônico; Transição de Poder e Arrighi). A Teoria da Balança de Poder como programa de pesquisa e as regiões. Problemas recorrentes em relações internacionais como programas de pesquisa (e.g. dissuasão, cooperação, paz, guerra, instituições). Os limites da metodologia de Lakatos e os critérios de avaliação das teorias em Relações Internacionais.

II - Procedimentos didáticos:

O método de ensino da disciplina é baseado em aulas dialogadas. A leitura prévia dos textos indicados para a discussão é crucial para que os encontros sejam produtivos. Estimula-se a participação, crítica, debate e aportes dos participantes a qualquer tempo durante os encontros.

III – Avaliação:

A avaliação será feita com base em um projeto de pesquisa desenvolvido em grupo (até cinco participantes por grupo). A ênfase do projeto e da avaliação concentra-se na articulação entre teoria e o desenho de pesquisa proposto, na capacidade de formular problemas analíticos, hipóteses e procedimentos claros de pesquisa a partir do conhecimento sobre o debate teórico relevante. Na quinta semana de aula cada grupo deverá entregar versão impressa de um resumo de 150 palavras e o título provisório do trabalho (25% da nota final). Na décima terceira semana de aula cada grupo deverá entregar uma versão preliminar completa do trabalho (50% da nota final). Nas duas últimas semanas de aula os grupos farão a apresentação de seus respectivos projetos de pesquisa (25% da nota final). Embora a participação nas discussões seja desejável e estimulada, não será atribuído um conceito ou percentual específico da nota por esta participação.
