Mensaje del Padre Camacho ~ A message from Fr. Camacho

so, terminamos el presente año litúrgico. Al proclamar que Cristo es nuestro Rey, estamos dic- iendo que El es quien manda en nuestra vida y que nosotros obedecemos lo que El nos manda.

Si decimos que Cristo es el Rey de nuestro corazón pudiera parecer y sonar un tanto románti- co; pero en realidad estaríamos afirmando que Cristo reina donde hacemos las decisiones de nuestra vida; el lugar de donde sale nuestro sí y nuestro no. Es pues una buena oportunidad para hacernos la pregunta: ¿quién manda en mi vida?

Esta semana celebramos también el Día de dar Gracias. Otra buena oportunidad para hacernos otra pregun- ta: ¿cuál es la acción de gracias más agradable a Dios? Por supuesto que la Eucaristía; es decir, la celebración eu- carística de cada domingo. ¡Feliz Día de dar Gracias!

Feast of Christ the King. With the celebration of the Feast of Christ the King, we finish the liturgical year. By

proclaiming that Christ is our king, we say that he is the supreme Guide of our lives, King of our hearts. We obey what He commands. Saying Christ is king of our hearts may look and sound a bit romantic. But what we actually say is that Christ reigns deep inside us where we make our “yes” and “no” decisions. Therefore, this is a good opportunity to ask ourselves, “Who rules my life? For what am I grateful?”

This week we also celebrate Thanksgiving, a time to pray and thank God for all our blessings. The question I ask you: Is there a more pleasing way to thank God through prayer? The answer is the Eucharist! It is the cele- bration of Mass every Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving!

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) classes meet Sundays from 9:45-10:30am in the parish office.

The Book of Remembrance is displayed on the center table in the vestibule during the month of November. You may include names of your deceased loved ones. They will be remembered during all Masses in November.

ALL SOULS ENVELOPES All Souls Day envelopes are in the narthex for those wishing to make a donation to have Mass said in memory of a deceased loved one during the month of November.
