My dear parishioners,
What a beautiful Gospel this weekend! The Disciples were struggling with a storm at sea. The wind frightened them, and they pleaded that Jesus help them. "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" And Jesus calms the wind. How many storms we have experienced, how many violent winds have tried to turn our boat over. Perhaps it has turned it over some time or other, and maybe we have lost our secure and protected place at some time in our life. But today I invite you to let the Teacher enter your boat, I invite you to let Jesus enter your life to Calm the winds, the difficulties. Don't lose courage! Let Jesus enter by way of prayer, of the Gospel, of love for your neighbor, of caring for all the God has given you. Let Our Lord calm the waters of the sea of life that now and then want to drown us. He has the power to calm the storm through which you might be passing. The attitude of the Apostles is interesting. Faced with the fact that they cannot do anything, they seek the help of the one who can. Some things in life are like that. There are some things that we cannot control no matter how much we try. Oh how much we suffer from the things we cannot control, from the people whose hearts and thoughts we cannot change. I invite you to place each of these people in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which we celebrated recently - every situation which is out of our control, every person who has hurt you, I invite you to trust that Jesus is in the boat with you, suffering with you the storms of live, and that he will never abandon you. He sees that you are growing, he sees your desire to be better! If this is difficult, cry out to him: "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" He will hear you, he will hold your hands and control what only he is able to do. Rest in this trust and
let him do the impossible! A blessed week to all of us.

PORTUGUESA E BRASILEIRA
Meus queridos paroquianos,
Que Evangelho bonito neste final de Semana! Os Discípulos estavam enfrentando uma tempestade no mar. Estavam com medo dos ventos, e pedem que Jesus faça alguma coisa “Mestre, não te importa que pereçamos?” , E Jesus acalma a vento.
Em quantas tempestades nós já estivemos, quantos ventos que sopraram tentando virar nosso barco. Talvez algumas vezes até tenha conseguido, talvez perdemos a segurança do lugar seco e protegido em algum momento da nossa história. Mas hoje eu te convido a deixar o mestre entrar em seu barco, eu te convido a deixar Jesus entrar na sua vida e acalmar também os teus ventos, tuas provações e dificuldades. Não desanime!
Deixe Jesus entrar através da oração, do Evangelho, do amor pelo próximo e pelo cuidado com tudo o que Deus nos deu. Deixe o Senhor acalmar as águas do mar da vida que muitas vezes querem sim nos afogar... Ele tem o poder de acalmar a ventania que talvez sua vida está passando.
Interessante é a atitude dos apóstolos, que diante da constatação que não podem fazer nada, buscam ajuda naquele que pode. Algumas coisas na vida são assim também... Algumas coisas não controlamos por mais que queiramos, e não adianta sofrer por isso! Como sofremos por coisas que não controlamos, por pessoas que não temos como mudar o coração ou o pensamento delas.
Te convido a colocar cada uma delas no Sagrado Coração de Jesus que nós celebramos alguns dias atrás. Cada situação fora do nosso controle, cada pessoa que te magoou e feriu. Te convido a confiar que Jesus está no barco contigo, sofrendo as tempestades na sua vida, e que Ele jamais te abandona. Ele está vendo o seu crescimento, sua força e vontade de ser melhor! Se está difícil clame por Ele “Senhor, não te importas que eu pereça?” Ele vai te ouvir, vai te segurar pelas mãos e controlar o que só Ele pode. Descanse nesta confiança e deixe que Ele faça o impossível!
