Este tempo verbal é usado para indicar ações que acontecem no presente.
They like to drink milk in the morning.
We use the computer all the time.
Quando os sujeitos forem He/She/It, acrescentamos
S/ES ou IES no verbo.
Tim goes to school by van.
My dad washes his car.
Jenny studies English on Mondays and Wednesday.
Na forma negativa e interrogative, usamos o DO com os
sujeitos I, you, we, they e DOES para He/She/It.
They don’t like to drink milk. Do they like to drink milk?
Tim doesn’t go to school by van. Does Tom go to school

Este tempo verbal é utilizado para descrever ações que estão acontecendo no momento da fala.
Mark is dancing with Sophia. (Mark está dançando com Sophia.)
My aunt is buying presents for me. (Minha tia está comprando presentes para
mim.)
Observe o uso do “verb to be” e o acréscimo do ING nos verbos.
Na forma negativa, acrescentamos o not após o
“verb to be”:
Mark is not dancing with Sophia.
Na forma interrogativa, fazemos a inversão do
sujeito e o “verb to be”:
