BIDETERMINANTS FOR SCHUR SUPERALGEBRAS

We will review classical results regarding bideterminants for Schur algebras, the structure of their simple modules and the process of mod- ular reduction. Afterwards, we will define Schur superalgebraS(m|n, r) and itsZ-formS(m|n, r)Z, and discuss bideterminants for Schur super- algebras over a field of characteristic zero.

Then we will solve a problem of Muir and describe a Z-form of a simple S(m|n, r)-module Dλ,Q over the field Q of rational numbers, under the action ofS(m|n, r)Z. ThisZ-form is the Z-span of modified bideterminants [T` : Ti]. Finally, we will prove that each [T` : Ti] is a Z-linear combination of modified bideterminants corresponding to (m|n)-semistandard tableaux Ti.
