As restaurações implanto-suportadas para reposicionamento de dentes unitários têm se
tornado um “estado da arte” na implantodontia atual. Entretanto, a realização de tais
restaurações em áreas anteriores constitui-se um dos maiores desafios estéticos para os
implantodontistas. O grau de dificuldade em cada caso depende principalmente da
situação anatômica encontrada. No tratamento com implantes osseointegrados, além de
se utilizar o diâmetro correto, posicionamento e angulação ideal dos implantes do ponto
de vista protético, as condições dos tecidos peri-implantares representam um papel
primordial na obtenção de um resultado estético e satisfatório. O tecido mole
peri-implantar deveria mimetizar o máximo possível as características morfológicas dos tecidos
naturais, incluindo margens gengivais festonadas, presença da papila interdental, textura
e coloração gengival, faixa suficiente de gengiva inserida e um aspecto harmonioso com
os dentes adjacentes. Diferentes tratamentos para tecidos moles ao redor de implantes
unitários visando alcançar estética têm sido propostos na literatura. A seguir
apresentaremos um caso clínico no qual foi obtido excelente resultado estético na região
maxilar anterior, utilizando técnica de enxertia de tecido mole para aumento de volume
tecidual previamente ao uso de implante unitário.

CONCLUSÕES
• A obtenção de estética em implantes unitários antero-superiores é uma realidade passível de se
alcançar;
• O posicionamento dos implantes unitários deve estar de acordo com a prótese final previamente
idealizada;
• Deve-se aliar à terapia com implantes, técnicas cirúrgicas adequadas para criação e/ou aumento de
tecidos moles ou duros quando necessário, sendo fundamental a escolha correta do procedimento para
otimização do resultado estético planejado no início do tratamento.
