In the historic centre of Lisbon, near the riverside area of the city, a distinctive and authentic real estate project has come into being: the Cais da Rosa. Partindo de uma visão inovadora, o projeto recupera um edifício pombalino, retomando os seus usos originais, adaptando-o a uma vivência contemporânea. A qualidade das intervenções arquitetónicas e construtivas, permite criar espaços de elevado conforto, preservando-se valores como a história e a qualidade, aos quais se adiciona a exclusividade e a inovação.
Based on an innovative vision, the project involves the renovation of a Pombaline building, returning it to its original use, adapting it to contemporary living. The quality of architectural and construction elements allows the creation of spaces with a high level of comfort, preserving values such as history and quality, while adding exclusivity and innovation.

Projeto de remodelação de um edifício pombalino conservando a volumetria original, com cinco pisos e sótão. O seu interior foi recuperado para uma nova vida, recolhendo, dentro da complexa e austera linguagem exterior, uma coerência espacial agora dirigida às necessidades do seculo XXI, comprovando que a qualidade das caixas construídas pode sobreviver muitos séculos, encontrada que seja a sua “alma”, por dentro dos mistérios que o tempo foi acolhendo.
Remodelling project of a Pombaline building, preserving its original size, with five floors and an attic. The renovation of its interior brought it to life again, bringing together within the complex and austere exterior language a spatial coherence that is now focused on 21st century needs, proving that the quality of the “boxes” built can survive many centuries, once their “soul” has been discovered within the mysteries that gathered over time.

A frente ribeirinha, o mercado e a zona trendy do Cais do Sodré e do Chiado são transportados para o interior do apartamento, através de materiais com look industrial e contemporâneo, aliados a uma arquitetura bem pensada, num edifício histórico. Os materiais puros, como a madeira no seu estado natural, as faianças portuguesas que lembram o mercado local, assim como a alegria transmitida pelas cores vivas introduzidas, conferem um ambiente que se enquadra perfeitamente neste bairro que vive de cores, de misturas e de tradições.
The riverfront, the market and the trendy area of the Cais do Sodré and Chiado are transported to the interior of the apartment through materials with an industrial and contemporary look, combined with a well-thought-out architecture, in an historic building. Pure materials, such as wood in its natural state, Portuguese stoneware that reminds us of the local market, as well as the joy communicated through vibrant colours all provide an environment that fits perfectly in this neighbourhood that thrives on colours, mixtures and traditions.

A localização e o valor arquitetónico, histórico e cultural do conjunto de edifícios que compõem o portfolio do Fundo Sete Colinas são por si só um conjunto de mais-valias que lhes conferem um perfil diferenciador. Potenciar esta diferenciação através de intervenções artísticas únicas, foi a premissa que esteve na base da criação da estratégia de curadoria que visa, antes de mais, valorizar os elementos existentes com a introdução de uma linguagem contemporânea que, respeitando o passado, os projete no presente.
O trabalho de Curadoria das intervenções a realizar no interior dos apartamentos, procura estabelecer uma relação profunda entre arte e arquitetura,
compreendendo a escala e natureza específica do edifício e a delicadeza inerente à intervenção artística a promover.
A seleção de artistas portugueses pelo Fundo pretende contribuir para a comunicação e divulgação da identidade e cultura portuguesa.
The location and the architectural, historical and cultural value of the group of buildings that make up the Fundo Sete Colinas portfolio are in and of themselves a set of assets that give it a distinctive profile. Boosting this distinctiveness through unique works of art was the premise for creating a curatorship strategy that, above all, seeks to enhance the value of the existing elements by introducing a contemporary language that respects the past while projecting them into the present.
The curatorship work on the apartment interiors seeks to establish a strong relationship between art and architecture, embracing the scale and specific character of the building and the inherent delicateness of the art to be promoted. The Fund’s selection of Portuguese artists seeks to contribute to the
communication and promotion of Portuguese identity and culture.

Manuel Caeiro
Nascido em Évora e formado na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa apresenta uma obra na qual se torna clara a relação estabelecida entre o desenho, a arquitetura e a pintura.
Born in Évora and a graduate of the School of Fine Arts at Universidade de Lisboa, the artist presents a work where there is a clearly established relationship between design, architecture and painting.
