5.3 Future directions

It would be useful for scholars in the future to focus on investigating the validity of EI and if it can be discriminated from IQ. An accurate model of EI and its elements should be constructed and an assessment tool of measurement should be developed in order to measure EI more accurately and objectively. Additionally, although the number of studies which were reviewed in this dissertation is considered sufficient, still the opportunity of making such a review more representative and expanding the research with studies from more countries is suggested. For example, China and India where the 35% of world population lives, is represented only with 5 reviewed studies in this dissertation.
