Diante de todo estudo conclui-se que no artigo 1 os pacientes hemiparéticos espásticos apresentam o torque muscular reduzido, em comparação com indivíduos sem disfunções do sistema músculo esquelético. Imediatamente após o alongamento passivo ocorre redução do torque do músculo hipertônico, acredita-se que essa diminuição possa estar associada com a sobreposição fisiológica entre os filamentos de actina e miosina, o que impediria o desenvolvimento de uma contração muscular máxima.
Em relação aos recursos terapêuticos utilizados a crioterapia e a EENM, observou redução da movimentação passiva dos flexores e extensores do cotovelo, porém a crioterapia apresentou resultados mais satisfatório e teve seu efeito máximo na redução da espasticidade do músculo bíceps braquial 10 minutos depois do termino da terapia (59,8%) ao passo que a EENM apresentou resultados 20 a 30 minutos após o termino da terapia 30,4% e 24,1%, sugerindo um efeito agudo da crioterapia e um efeito tardio da EENM.
Outro fator importante, que a inibição reciproca ocorreu durante a contração do tibial anterior dos indivíduos saudáveis e hemiparéticos espásticos, e na contração do gastrocnêmio medial ocorreu o fenômeno de co-contração de ambos os grupos.
Acredita-se que a redução da resistência à movimentação passiva dos músculos flexores e extensores após aplicação da crioterapia, e devido a diminuição da velocidade da via gama. Na EENM deve ser uma redução da atividade do fuso muscular (Intrafusais), favorecendo a inibição reciproca.
Os protocolos de aplicação da crioterapia e EENM podem ser utilizados como método coadjuvante no tratamento da espasticidade e sugiro associar os recursos com a cinesioterapia.
