6.3. Investigação Futura

As limitações vistas no tópico anterior, podem ser alcançadas em futuros estudos, como por exemplo aumentar o número de anos em análise para três anos, assim como, acrescentar empresas pertencentes a outras indústrias como por exemplo a indústria dos serviços.

Na presente dissertação foi feita uma análise entre empresas certificadas e empresas não certificadas. Uma possível investigação futura poderá ser não haver essa separação e existir apenas empresas certificadas e analisar a evolução do desempenho antes da certificação e após a certificação. No presente estudo, essa análise não foi possível devido à impossibilidade de obtenção da variável data de certificação, para conseguir estabelecer essa separação. Para obtenção dessa variável poderia ser criado um inquérito às empresas para que seja possível implementar essa variável em futuros estudos. Para além disso, no inquerido poderiam estar outras variáveis de forma a enriquecer as futuras análises ao desempenho das empresas portuguesas.
