As melhorias f´ısicas que ainda n˜ao est˜ao devidamente implementadas no c´odigo de estrutura e evolu¸c˜ao estelar ATON e que s˜ao de nosso imediato interesse, est˜ao estreitamente relacionadas com a rota¸c˜ao e redistribui¸c˜ao de momentum angular.

O tratamento padr˜ao de redistribui¸c˜ao de momentum angular (Zahn 1992) n˜ao ´e ad- equado para descrever fases evolutivas nas quais a principal contribui¸c˜ao energ´etica n˜ao seja a energia nuclear, como ´e o caso da fase pr´e-sequˆencia principal. Tratamentos alter- nativos foram analisados e, em breve, ser˜ao implementados no c´odigo com o objetivo de se obter uma express˜ao mais adequada para a corrente de circula¸c˜ao meridiana. Uma outra melhoria importante ´e a inclus˜ao do coeficiente de difus˜ao dos componentes qu´ımicos, devido `a rota¸c˜ao, no processo de difus˜ao microsc´opica. Pretendemos tamb´em incluir um tratamento dos efeitos de um gradiente de peso molecular nas correntes circulat´orias inter- nas. Ao contr´ario da inclus˜ao de campos magn´eticos, os aperfei¸coamentos citados acima n˜ao apresentam grandes dificuldades. Acredita-se que considerar de maneira adequada a intera¸c˜ao entre rota¸c˜ao e campos magn´eticos nos modelos de estrutura e evolu¸c˜ao estelar representar´a um grande progresso para melhorar compara¸c˜oes entre teoria e observa¸c˜oes.
