Volume 23 of ‘Gestão & Produção’ Journal (G&P) is historical. Fulilling our editorial policy initiated in 2015, this Volume is the irst to publish all the manuscripts in both Portuguese and English. We thus inaugurate the process of internationalization of our periodical, which henceforth will also count on international associate editors who, along with the national associate editors, will coordinate the submission of manuscripts and improve the quality of our scientiic journal in all its areas: strategy and organization of work; operational research and quantitative methods; quality, planning and control of production; and logistics. This way, G&P intends to advance the dissemination of its authors’ publications worldwide. The electronic version of the journal will facilitate the achievement of this goal. Nevertheless, G&P will keep its submission process as it is, receiving the manuscripts in Portuguese and, after their acceptance, requiring

that the works be translated into English. G&P reiterates its commitment to maintain the publications in Portuguese while expanding the scope of its works to international scientists by publishing them in English.

The irst Number of Volume 23 of ‘Gestão & Produção’ Journal is composed of manuscripts which address the areas of strategy and organization of work; operational research and quantitative methods; quality, planning and control of production; and logistics. This Number comprises 15 articles by authors from 16 education and research institutions in Brazil and abroad.

Enjoy your reading.
