PADRÕES DE MOVIMENTO
Pull-ups

QUALIFIER 1 - 2016 WEEK 2
NOTES
• Video submission is required for those who want to qualify to Monstar Games - São Paulo;
• The organization reserves the right to request the athlete, via email, the change of score if noticed some irregularity in the execution of a repetition or if score is incompatible with the video;
• The athlete must be sure of each repetition before sending the video. There will be punishment of 10 seconds per repetition poorly executed in the events by time. Five or more irregular repetitions makes the score of all three events invalid;
• The judges will be very strict with movement patterns;
• The athlete can not receive any outside help during events.
EQUIPMENT
• A set of gymnastic rings hung so you can successfully perform muscle-up;
• An Olympic lifting barbell (must be used this single bar during the three events this week);
• Plates;
* The official weight is in pounds. To transform kilograms to pounds multiply the weight in kilograms by 2.2.
• Collars.
STANDARDS
Pull-ups
In the bottom position the athlete’s elbows must be fully extended. At the top, the chin must break the horizontal plane of the bar. Any style of pull-up (strict, kipping, butterfly) is allowed so long as these requirements are met on every repetition.
Hand Release Push-ups
In the initial position only the hands and feet rest on the floor, arms fully extended. In the final position the chest should touch the ground and hands should lose contact simultaneously. To resume the starting position back hands to the ground and push extending your arms to the starting position.
Clean & Jerk
This movement begins with the barbell on the ground. The top position will be successfully achieved when the athlete demonstrates control of the barbell in a fully extended overhead position – the barbell overhead directly aligned over the shoulders, hips and ankles. Athletes may use any means of getting the barbell overhead that they choose.
Overhead Squats
At the bottom of the movement, the hip crease must be below the top of the knee with the barbell supported overhead. At the top, the hips, knees and elbows must be fully extended, and the repetition will be successfully achieved when the athlete demonstrates control of the barbell in a fully extended overhead position – the barbell overhead directly aligned over the shoulders, hips and ankles. When picking the barbell up from the ground, athletes may either receive the barbell in the bottom of the overhead squat position, or they may lift the barbell to their shoulders and then put it overhead before they descend to the bottom of the overhead squat position – as long as the hip crease is below the top of the knee at some point between the beginning and end of the repetition.
