This Number 2, Volume 24 of Gestao & Producao Journal brings all articles published in Portuguese and English, according to the Editorial Policy presented in 2015. The internationalization process of our journal advances in 2017, with international associate editors who, along with national associate editors, will continue the process of coordinating manuscript submission, improving the quality of our
scientiic periodical in all areas - strategy and work
organization; operational research and quantitative methods; quality, planning and control of production; and logistics. New members of the international
scientiic community are now part of the Editorial
Board of our journal. In this way, G&P intends to advance the projection of its authors’ publications worldwide. The electronic publication of our periodical in English will facilitate the achievement of this goal.
Nevertheless, G&P will keep its former submission
process, accepting manuscripts in Portuguese and, for

those approved, it will request a version translated into English. G&P Journal reiterates its commitment to maintain publications in Portuguese while expanding or facilitating access to its articles to international scientists through their publication in English.
Number 2, Volume 24 of Gestao & Producao Journal comprises articles in the following areas:
strategy and work organization; operational research
and quantitative methods; quality, planning and control of production; and logistics. This issue is composed of 15 articles by authors from 17 education, research and extension organizations from Brazil and abroad.
