Welcome To Holy Rosary Parish Dear Friends,
For the Church, October is “Respect Life Month”. It is a time where we as Catholic believers are invited to invest in extra prayer and review all life issues from conception to natural death.
Obviously, the issue of abortion is a high profile life issue, but what about the women who make the choice of keeping their child in spite of the hardships that might be present.
There are a couple of local
organizations that assist these mothers and children;
Birthright & Life Choices Maternity Home. In the month of October, we will be collecting items to assist their ministry at the church entrances. Perhaps you could assist us in this effort:
Birthright:
diapers sizes 4, 5, or 6 (they are receiving more families with children with special needs and delayed toilet training)
hard back books small toys preemie clothing
bathing items such as baby wash and towels teething toys
sippy cups
Life Choices Maternity Home:
Personal care items for the mothers (each woman receives a welcome package)
hair brushes, combs shampoo, conditioner deodorant
kids clothing and pajamas sizes 12 months to 2T kids dining items such as spoons, bowls, plates, sippy cups
masks
Christ’s peace, Fr. Bernie
Queridos amigos,

In the reading from the letter of St. James we are urged to be “doers” of the Gospel, not just listeners.
Being a “steward” of God’s Word is a matter of listening to the Good News, embracing the Good News and putting the Good News into action in our day-to-day lives. And whenever we are uncertain as to what decisions to make or actions to take as good stewards of the Gospel, St. James reminds us: We can never go wrong if we resist popular values that are not compatible with the Gospel, and we come to the aid of those who are burdened, distressed and
