RESOLUTION

CD19.R28

HEALTH LEGISLATION

THE 19th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined Document CD19/21, containing the preliminary report submitted to the 61st

Meeting of the Executive Committee (Document CD61/4), in which the Director gives an account

of the steps taken in compliance with the recommendation by the Special Meeting of Ministers of

Health of the Americas (Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 1968) that studies be made on the status

of health legislation in the Americas; and

Taking note of Resolution XV of the 61st Meeting of the Executive Committee,

RESOLVES

1. To ask the Director to continue the comparative study of health legislation in the Americas and to

submit it to the Executive Committee at its 64th Meeting.

2. To urge the health authorities of the Member Countries to collaborate and assist in the study in

question.
