A designação “cobertura invertida” sur-ge da inversão da posição do isolamen-to térmico, relativamente à impermea-bilização no revestimento de coberturas planas. Contrariamente aos sistemas tradicionais, o isolamento térmico é apli-cado sobre a impermeabilização.
Com esta solução é possível proteger a impermeabilização das agressões mecâ-nicas e das variações bruscas de tempe-ratura, aumentando assim a longevidade do sistema. Esta solução passou a ser possível, quando surgiram materiais inovadores, que mantêm as excelentes qualidades como isolantes térmicos, mesmo em contacto com água, como é o caso do poliestireno extrudido (XPS).
REVERSED INSULATION
The name “reversed insulation” arises from the reversal of the position of the thermal insulation, relative to the waterproofing of the coating of flat roofing.
In contrast to the traditional systems, the thermal insulation is applied over the water-proofing.
With this solution, it is possible to protect the waterproofing from mechanical aggression and abrupt variations of temperature, thus increasing the longevity of the system. This solution became a reality with the development of innovative materials, which maintain their excellent qualities as thermal insulators, even when in contact with water, as is the case of extruded polystyrene (XPS).
DECK COVERING
The use of sheet metal plate covering, incor-porating thermal insulation and waterproofing, has shown very significant growth over the last years, especially in terms of large-scale construction areas, such as large shopping surfaces and major industrial zones.
In this type of situation, the adopted solutions are aimed at speed of construction and struc-tural lightness, therefore mixed structures of prefabricated concrete and metal girders are normally used.
These structures play a fundamental role in the future functioning of this type of construc-tion, where rapid installation with high levels of performance is sought, in terms of water-proofing and thermal and acoustic insulation.

As coberturas em chapa metálica, com isolamento térmico e impermeabilização incorporados, têm tido um crescimento bastante significativo nos últimos anos, nomeadamente ao nível das grandes áreas de construção como são os casos das grandes superfícies comerciais e grandes áreas industriais.

ETICS – EXTERNAL THERMAL INSULATION COMPOSITE SYSTEM
In order to meet the growing demands for comfort and environmental protection, it is necessary to ensure the thermal insulation of the outer walls of buildings, so as minimise the exchange of heat with the external environ-ment.
The ETICS system is advantageous in the case of buildings with insufficient thermal insula-tion, infiltrations or a deteriorated appearance, reducing the risk of condensation and treating thermal bridges, and, as such, is an excellent solution for the rehabilitation of buildings. In general, external insulation systems are composed of a layer of thermal insulation ap-plied over the supporting structure and a fine external coating, for protection from climatic and mechanical stresses.
ITE - ISOLAMENTO

Para responder às crescentes exigências de conforto e protecção ambiental, é necessário isolar termicamente a envol-vente dos edifícios, de modo a minimi-zar as trocas de calor com o exterior. O sistema ITE, é vantajoso no caso de edifícios com isolamento térmico insufi-ciente, infiltrações ou aspecto degrada-do, diminuindo o risco de condensações e tratando as pontes térmicas, sendo por isso, uma óptima solução na reabili-tação de edifícios.

HYDRAULIC WORKS
Rigorous management of water resources, which are increasingly more expensive and scarce, is of a growingly urgent concern. The construction of artificial lakes, creating water reserves for agricultural or industrial purposes, canals and dams are examples of hydraulic works, fundamental in the rational management of water.
In order to mitigate the water losses of these structures, suitable waterproofing techniques should be used, based on PVC membranes, bituminous felts or cementitious coatings.
