EXPRESSION OF CONDOLENCE TO THE GOVERNMENT AND
PEOPLE OF MÉXICO
THE 24th DIRECTING COUNCIL,
Having learned with deep sorrow of the disaster that has overtaken Baja California, where
Hurricane "Liza" has caused great loss of life and heavy material damage; and
Recalling very clearly the generosity and solidarity invariably manifested both by the authorities
and by the great people of Mexico when similar tragic events have occurred in other parts of the
Region,
RESOLVES
1. To express to the Government and people of Mexico its deep sorrow at the tragedy which has
befallen the part of the country struck by Hurricane "Liza."
2. To convey to the victims' families, to all the Mexican people and to the authorities, a message
expressing the sympathy and solidarity shared by all the Member Countries of the Pan American
Health Organization.
3. To request the Director, in accordance with Resolution X adopted at the current meeting, to
provide every assistance within the means of the Organization.
