. MALE U-20 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Dear Sirs:

Under the FPP – Federação de Patinagem de Portugal organization- in co-operation with the Municipality of Valongo and with

the Porto Roller Skating Association - the 49th_{. Male U-20 European Championship of Rink-Hockey will be held according}

with the following details:

1. DATES – PARTICIPATING NATIONAL TEAMS AND COMPETITION SYSTEM

The 49th. Male U-20 European Championship will take place from the 6th_{(Monday) to the 11}th _{of October of}

2014 (Saturday), with the participation of the following eight national teams: ANDORRA, ENGLAND, FRANCE,

GERMANY, ITALY, PORTUGAL, SPAIN and SWITZERLAND.

The competition will be held in two phases, as detailed in the schedule attached and that is explained below:

1.1 GROUP PHASE

This phase will take place from the 6th_{. to the 8}th_{. of October 2014, with the participating teams divided into two}

groups of four teams, whose constitution - held in light of the final marks obtained in the previous championship of

this same age group - will be the following:

• GROUP A: Portugal, Germany, Italy and Andorra

• GROUP B: Spain, France, Switzerland and England

Within each group will be played a championship with one back, whose classification determines the definition of

the trial matches to be held in the 2nd_{. and final phase of this competition..}

This phase will take from the 9th_{. to the 11}th_{. of October 2014, allowed to determine the final ranking of the}

participating national teams, by performing three successive rounds: quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

2. PLACE FOR THE COMPETITION

Sports Hall: PAVILHÃO GIMNO-DESPORTIVO DE VALONGO

(Located about 10 km from the city of Porto)

3. RINK CHARACTERISTICS

• Size: 40 x 20 meters

• Surface: Parquet • Capacity: 1.500 places

• Facilities: 6 dressing rooms (4 for the teams + 2 for the Referees) 1 Medical room

4. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES – CLOSEST AIRPORT

The entourage of national federations and the designated Referees must arrive on the 5th _{of October 2014}

(Sunday), returning on the 12th _{of October de 2014 (Sunday).}

The entourage of the national teams and the designated Referees arriving by plane are welcome to the Sá Carneiro

Airport, in Porto, being transported by the organizing Federation to their hotels of accommodation.

5. ACCOMODATION - OFFICIAL HOTEL AND TRANSPORT FOR THE TEAMS

Each National Federation is responsible for the costs of their accommodation and meals, in accordance with what is established in the Regulations in force.

As already informed by the Organizing Committee of the event (the e-mail sent on 2014, August 26), we recall the

conditions offered to the participating teams by the official Hotel of this event:

((Located about 20 km from the competition premises - about 20 min. for the bus ride)

HOTEL PRICES: ACCOMODATION (*) WITH FULL BOARD ... € 50,00 PER PERSON

(*) Note:Double rooms for accommodation of players – Single rooms for the remaining representatives

The Valongo Municipality already secured the pre-bookings with the Hotel. Then, all interested teams must confirm their reservation requests for accommodation, through Mr. LUIS SILVA, who should be contacted through the following email

Important note about the transportation for the teams

During competition, the Organizing Committee will only allow the transportation of the national teams that are accommodated in the official hotel of this sporting event.

6. INFORMATION AND/OR DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT AS S0ON AS POSSIBLE

6.1 All participating Federations must send to the Organizing Committee – through Ricardo Araújo (email:

ricardo.araujo@fpp.pt) - the Information about the day and time of arrival and departure, as well as the

means of transport used (where appropriate, must be also indicated the reference of the flights and airport using)

6.2 As soon as possible, the participating Federations must also submit to CERH – through Ricardo Oliveira (email:

office.cerh@cerh.eu) - a complete list of their officially representatives (players, delegates, technical staff and other representatives – Formulary 04). This formulary is available in the section "EUROPEAN NATIONS

CHAMPIONSHIPS" of the CERH website, whose electronic address is ... www.cerh.eu

7. REFEREES TO BE DESIGNATED – SEMINAR ON THE RULES OF THE GAME

7.1 According with the regulations in force, CERH the sole entity that has the power and responsibility of designation of

the Referees of any match or event of the European competitions (nations or clubs). In this competition we will

designate a total of 9 Referees –1 from England, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland and two from Portugal,

and Spain - whose names will be informed by the end of next week.

7.2 During the morning of Saturday, 11th _{of October, CERH will handle a Seminar about the rules of the game, where}

we want to present and debate two main subjects: the Interpretation and application of the power-play +

the presentation and analysis of some changes that will be introduced in the sporting season of 2014/2015. Then, CERH wants to invite all the rink-hockey community that is in Valongo to attend and to debate

8. OFFICIAL CALENDAR – COMPETITION AND COLLATERAL ACTIVITIES

In the ANNEX of this Communication, CERH is publicizing the OFFICIAL CALENDAR OF THE EVENT, where is included including the setting of dates and times established in respect of: :

8.1 Training of adaptation to the rink by each National Team, including the control of the identification of all team representatives

8.2 CERH meeting with all the team Delegates and the designated Referees 8.3 Opening and closing ceremonies, with the participation of:

• Member of the official authorities

• Referees (properly equipped)

• Athletes from the participating teams(properly equipped, including the skates) 8.4 All games to be played by the participating teams

8.5 Official and collateral activities, namely:

8.5.1 The CERH General Assembly, to be held in the Noble Hall of Valongo Municipality, located in

City Hall (address: Avenida 5 de Outubro, 160 , in Valongo)

8.5.2 A Seminar/Debate about the Rules of the Game, organized by CERH (to be held in a place to be indicated timely).

Sob a organização da FPP – Federação de Patinagem de Portugal

- em cooperação com a Câmara

Municipal de Valongo e com a Associação de Patinagem do Porto -

vai ser realizado o 49º Campeonato da

Europa de Seniores Masculinos de Hóquei em Patins, em conformidade com os seguintes detalhes:

1. DATAS - EQUIPAS NACIONAIS PARTICIPANTES E SISTEMA DE COMPETIÇÃO

O 49º Campeonato da Europa de Sub-20 Masculinos vai realizar-se entre os dias 6 (2ª Feira) e 11 de Outubro

de 2014 (Sábado), contando com a participação das seguintes 8 seleções nacionais: ALEMANHA, ANDORRA, ESPANHA, FRANÇA, INGLATERRA, ITÁLIA, PORTUGAL e SUIÇA.

A competição realizar-se-á em duas fases distintas, conforme discriminado no calendário em anexo e que seguidamente se explicita:

1.1 FASE DE GRUPOS

Esta fase decorrerá de 6 a 8 de Outubro de 2014, com as seleções participantes divididas em dois Grupos de 4

equipas, cuja constituição – realizada em função da classificação final obtida no campeonato anterior deste mesmo

escalão etário – será a seguinte:

• GRUPO A: Portugal, Alemanha, Itália e Andorra

• GRUPO B: Espanha, França, Suíça e Inglaterra

Em cada Grupo será disputado um Campeonato a uma só volta, cuja classificação determinará a definição das eliminatórias a realizar na 2º e última fase desta competição.

Esta fase decorrerá de 9 a 11 de Outubro de 2014, determinando a classificação final das seleções nacionais participantes, através da realização de 3 eliminatórias sucessivas: Quartos de Final, Semi-Finais e Finais.

4. CHEGADAS E PARTIDAS – AEROPORTO MAIS PRÓXIMO

As comitivas das Federações nacionais e os Árbitros designados devem chegar no dia 5 de Outubro de 2014

(Domingo), regressando no dia 12 de Outubro de 2014 (Domingo).

As comitivas das equipas nacionais e os Árbitros designados que viajem de avião serão bem vindos ao Aeroporto Sá

Carneiro, no Porto, sendo transportados pela Federação organizadora aos seus hotéis de alojamento.

5. ALOJAMENTO - HOTEL OFICIAL E TRANSPORTE PARA AS EQUIPAS

Cada Federação Nacional é responsável pelos custos dos seus alojamentos e refeições, em conformidade com o que está estabelecido nos Regulamentos em vigor.

Conforme informação já transmitida por e-mail remetido em 26 de Agosto de 2014 pela Comissão Organizadora deste evento, recordamos as condições oferecidas às equipas participantes pelo Hotel oficial deste Campeonato:

7. DESIGNAÇÃO DOS ÁRBITROS – SEMINÁRIO SOBRE AS REGRAS DE JOGO

7.1 De acordo com a regulamentação em vigor, o CERH é a única entidade que tem o poder a responsabilidade de

efetuar a nomeação dos Árbitros para qualquer jogo ou evento (de nações ou de clubes) do hóquei em patins

europeu . Nesta competição vão ser designados 9 Árbitros –1 de Alemanha, França, Inglaterra, Itália e Suíça e

dois de Espanha e Portugal - cujos nomes serão divulgados no final da próxima semana..

7.2 Na manhã de Sábado, 11 de Outubro, o CERH organizará um Seminário sobre as Regras de Jogo, onde

queremos apresentar e debater 2 temas principais: a interpretação e aplicação do “power-play” + a

apresentação e análise de algumas alterações que vão ser introduzidas na época de 2014/2015.

Por isso, o CERH quer convidar toda a comunidade do hóquei m patins que estará presente em Valongo a participar e debater os temas que vão ser apresentados, bem como quaisquer outros assuntos que queiram ver clarificados.

8. CALENDÁRIO OFICIAL – COMPETIÇÃO E ACTIVIDADES COLATERAIS

No ANEXO a este Comunicado é apresentado o CALENDÁRIO OFICIAL DA COMPETIÇÃO, englobando a definição das datas e dos horários estabelecidos relativamente a :

7.1 Treinos de adaptação à pista por parte de cada Seleção Nacional, incluindo o controlo da identificação dos representantes de cada equipa

7.2 Reunião do CERH com os Delegados das equipas e com os Árbitros designados para o evento 7.2 Cerimónias de abertura e de encerramento, com a participação de:

• Membros das autoridades oficiais

• Árbitros (devidamente equipados)

• Atletas das seleções participantes(devidamente equipados e com patins calçados) 7.3 Jogos a disputar pelas seleções participantes

7.4 Atividades oficiais e colaterais à competição, englobando designadamente:

7.4.1 A Assembleia Geral do CERH, a realizar no Salão Nobre da Câmara Municipal de Valongo, situada nos Paços do Concelho, Avenida 5 de Outubro, 160 , em Valongo
